This isn't just a case of finding Knives, Knives has a trap of some sort set up specifically for Vash, and he's going to be waltzing right into it.
Does that not matter? Even if he was already going to do that on his own, Wolfwood's actions are actively intending to harm him and the others they've been in contact with.
