helloooooo again esteemed residents of aldric’s grove! to combat our ever-marching battle against mortality i am here to pose a very important request to you all. pretty standard stuff for our public notebook network, i know, but this comes with some very exacting parameters! in the spirit of the fact that we have all been pitted against each other at the gambling tables, i want to encourage every one of you to reclaim control over what pisses you off! i want you to share your most ridiculous, polarizing opinion. this could be absolutely anything. the specifics do not matter. if you want to dampen everyone's spirits with something completely depressing, be my guest! everything goes! (^-^) if you see an opinion that you cannot abide by, feel free to start an argument! this is all about blowing off steam! it’s good for you! i will, of course, provide an example to help get the ball rolling: dogs? the worst. too loud, too rambunctious, and an utter nightmare to be around most of the time. they’re smelly, too. i don’t understand why anyone likes them at all! your turn! I don't believe I have the capability or business knowledge to ever run a restaurant, or anything like that. But, I thought it might be a fun thought exercise to come up with a hypothetical menu. Things I think I would enjoy cooking that would sell well. Please tell me what you think.

STARTER

Obatzda: a soft cheese spread made with Camembert, butter, paprika, and onions, served with rye rounds and pretzels.

Kartoffelpuffer - grated potato and onion pancakes, that have been pan fried, served with sour cream and chives.

ENTREE

Sauerbraten - a slow simmered pot roast with potatoes, carrots, and fresh herbs and spices.

Schnitzel - fried cutlets of pork, veal, or chicken served with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus spears.

DESSERT

Engel Pannacotta - a lychee pannacotta with fresh raspberries and a blackberry reduction.

Timcannoli - a pastry dough shell piped with sweet ricotta cheese, chocolate chips, and crushed pistachios.

[ Fern's spent most of the day moving in to the inn, since his Hyperspace Treehouse turned out to not be real. Bummer. Moving in doesn't take long, really. He just has to make his treasure pile (a couple of severely rusted coins and bottlecaps), look for any of his old clothes that might still be around (there are none), and then go shopping for new clothes. Somehow this process took him all over the Grove, and he noticed something...

His handwriting is as chicken-scratch as ever. ]

Has anyone else heard a masculine voice prompting them to venture into the woods? The directions weren't specific, but it was almost as if I had an innate idea of where I was meant to go. When I tried to head in the general direction I was barred from going any further by that tall horned woman.

Hello everyone! Sorry to bother you all, but I thought it would be a good idea to put out a PSA of sorts.

If you end up going out into the forest, please be careful and watch where you step! I’m not sure how common they are around here since I’m still fairly new to this place, but earlier this morning while on patrol, I happened to find a hidden pit trap dug deep down and camouflaged with leaves. I’m going back tomorrow to mark it off a bit more clearly, but I figured I’d let everyone know just in case there happened to be more around!
