[The break is welcome and gladly taken. Joshua takes the moment to sigh softly and lift a hand to rub the bridge of his nose between his eyes. This is unfamiliar territory for him... but it doesn't quite seem to be for Beat. The Beat he knew prior to this encounter may not have been as accepting of the situation. There's exhaustion in his voice that speaks of experience, and for a second, Joshua wonders what he might find if he dives deeper.
But there's no time for that now. Not when Beat is clearly looking to him for guidance. More familiarity? Did this other him have Beat so thoroughly in line behind him that Beat doesn't even question?
He doesn't know how to handle this, but he can recognize a willing participant when he sees it. If Beat trusts this other him enough to blindly follow, he's clearly seeing at least a little of the same in him now. He could use this.]
Well, I hate to break it to you, but I've not been here for very long myself. Haven't had much of a chance to investigate yet, unfortunately, though it's certainly on my list.
[He shrugs, sliding a hand into his pocket. The pad of his thumb slides along the seam in the plastic casing of his phone, which he then pulls out - a familiar orange color - and begins to tap through.]
There's no internet or phone signal, so it's impossible for me to call and get any kind of taxi service. But, if this Sea of Stars also exists here, it's likely that all worlds are connected in one way or another.
