He had begun to entertain the idea of affection from the larger man, that much is true. But he would have thought that bond, and whatever trust Livio had in him, to be broken. Certainly, it was damaged to the point that a few tears shouldn't have been enough to mend it.
And yet he feels the hospital bed shift beneath them as Livio takes his seat. He feels that firm grasp twine around him and — yeah, he's crying all over again.]
