You're talking about the desert region and not the swamps, I'm assuming. [Otherwise it's like. Well of course those plants need lots of water they're in swamps.] What do you have — date palms, acacia, ghaf trees? And a shitton of succulents, yeah? You can easily drown those with too much water, but look.

The hydrangeas over there technically only need an inch of water per week. The fact that they're not dying and are bigger makes me think the water isn't going to hurt anything.
