There are carnivorous flowers where I come from, but they survive through mimicry and deception, and will uproot themselves and give chase as soon as they detect your presence. Easily dealt with, if you're skilled with a sword, but they can be a hindrance to the unwary traveler.

[He says all of this in a mild, matter-of-fact voice.]

I find these even less appealing, though I'm not sure why. What do you make of them?

[Speaking of flowers... when the breeze shifts, he realizes this woman smells of them rather strongly--real flowers, not the strange ones in front of him. It's a very nice scent, spirited yet soothing, but there's a note of precariousness beneath it that gives him pause. It's so faint as to be difficult to identify, but it reminds him of dry, cracked soil and places without rain.]
