I find these even less appealing, though I'm not sure why. What do you make of them?

It's a very nice scent, spirited yet soothing, but there's a note of precariousness beneath it that gives him pause. It's so faint as to be difficult to identify, but it reminds him of dry, cracked soil and places without rain.]
