It can be assumed that the version of your character that the Grove knew once upon a time was a normal mortal being- be they human or elf or whatever else they could be, I've been in games with dogs and horses before. However, if it's more fitting for artificial beings or spirits, they can appear in the photograph at their current "age"! Anything else is still to come, however, so please be patient!
