[There's truly no moment of clarity, nor is there a moment where the illusions disappear, where he doesn't feel the weight of the world weighing on his shoulders. There's only Add shouting for him, aim high, and enough of a semblance of sanity left for Elsword to act on it.

He knows (thinks) he's close-by enough to make his usual AoE lightshows too dangerous (as if Dies Irae earlier wasn't bad enough; there are still magical chains lingering). It means there's only a few things he can do, and recklessly aiming isn't one of them. Elsword decides on a simple uppercut, firing off a golden crescent of magic in his blade's arc. He thinks, maybe, either the sword or the burst of El energy might've cut something, but he's unsure.

The longer this goes on, the more exhausted he gets, the more he feels like he's about to fall over and then the plants will get them both and — no, no, not like this. Not again. If he loses his ground here, everything will be for naught.

Elsword hefts his sword into his grip a second time, feeling its weight far more than he usually does, but through sheer force of will alone, he swings it in a copycat of the attack he just launched. Just in case.]
