[hani, for someone that doesn't need to eat, sure does love to do so anyways! so when the sweet smells of baking waft through the inn, hani meanders to the kitchen to see what the fuss was about. and good thing, too!]
Really?
[oh they couldn't possibly-- no they are absolutely picking up a bear cupcake.]
[There's a half-demon in here cooking :) can Hani sense demons because Ciel pings Very Hard as that.]
It's a bear. [He's already clued into the fact that this world is another world, which like, mark that down as the second round of dimensional travel he's gone through recently. He's used to it, but the upsetting part is when the demon he's tied his soul with Is Not Here. The experience would be otherwise novel and pleasant.] I take it you've never seen one?
...
Granted, it doesn't exactly look like one. They're a bit more intimidating than that. [are they tho]
i got a notif on this one. its just ain thats cursed
[what a lovely offering! what god doesn't like some good tea? they're gonna just sit themselves down on one of the kitchen chairs all gay pretzel-like]
I saw significantly more wildlife in my home as I grew older, but I can't say I knew what most of them were. It's always nice to learn new things.
[as time passed and their village disappeared, their shrine was left uncared for in the outskirts of the settlement. more wildlife moved in by then, but they didn't have the knowledge to identify them-- that wasn't their area of expertise.]
[Ciel is the sort of man who brews his tea like, fancy fancy. It's all about the pour, and the teapot quality, and properly steeping with a 5-step process that a normal man would not do. Hani can watch all of this closely if they want, surely they've had tea brewed like this for them before?]
I'm used to being outside and journeying more often than not. The wildlife we see is normally pretty dangerous. We try to give them a wide berth, but...
[He flips his wrist. Sometimes the dangerous animal thinks you are a snack.]</small.
[no!!! that's not the kind of offerings they would get. exciting. amazing. they're watching every step enraptured, basically chinhandsing the entire time.]
You must be pretty strong then, to be walking around such dangerous creatures on the regular.
[Well someone needs to get them some damn tea then (Ciel is passing them some damn tea).]
Ha! I suppose I'm stronger than the average human, yeah. There are fifteen of us that travel together, though, so that definitely helps. I wouldn't say any of us are particularly weak, just that we have different strengths.
Well, we all have our personal goals. [He says, purposely vague, half because he doesn't know what some people in his group are on about and half because his own issues are really Not For Strangers, even though he's currently feeding this one.] Actually, we're sort of on a quest... or several consecutive quests, to save the world. So far, we've been pretty successful, I'd say. The world has yet to be destroyed a second time — not that any of us were old enough to experience it the first time.

Oh, I see! A bear! It's so cute. And tasty.
[om nom nom]
I think I've seen some wandering from time to time, but they don't usually approach near villages.
why do they hate my son ainchase ishmael (diseased)
Help yourself. I sort of made too many of them, as you can see. I can make you tea as well.
[He's entering Butler Mode.]
Bears typically don't go near settlements, no. Not unless you leave food out for them. I wouldn't recommend it, even if they are really cute.
[didn't you just say they were intimidating dude]
twink injustice

Fifteen! That's quite a large band. Is there any particular journey you're on, or just travelling for the sake of it?
