[Kiera does not make it to the tavern. Kiera opens their eyes and they're in what looks like... a bedroom? Zonari herself is not in bed, though; she's shuffling about at the desk on the north side of the room, which is covered in stones and wire and metal, pliers and findings and jeweller's tools scattered around. The woman herself is actually dressed somewhat down, in a button-down shirt which is Obviously Open Who Do You Think She Is, and businessy slacks, and a plain lab coat.

If Kiera is watching carefully, they'll see a memory in a memory; Zonari holds her hand up and lets a memory float between her fingers like she did with Zahliya's back during that debacle, holds up a blue stone in her other hand, and through some combination of magic and willpower, tries to put said memory inside of it. It looks like it's being sucked in briefly...
...but the stone is clearly unstable, and shatters a short fifteen seconds after.]
