[Well... this is new. Everything is absolutely verdant, and at first glance, downright idyllic. It's the exact sort of thing that has Meryl convinced something is wrong. Which is pretty much exactly why she sets to stomping around the Grove, looking at every little thing. The fact that she somehow avoids stomping on a mushroom is stopped by only one thing. A very scrutinizing look that she gives a mushroom.]

[Right. Anyway. She needs answers, and she's pretty sure the people walking around like nothing is wrong have them. Sure, some of them have very strange traits and monstrous features right now but she's stared down Millions Knives and lived. There's very little that's going to startle her at this point.]

You. What's going on here? What is this place, for that matter. [And, well. She's a little rude so... some of those monsters are going to get a squint.] And why do you look like that.

[As she begins to get her feet under her, and grow more familiar with her surroundings, it only gets worse. She isn't afraid to pick up her camera and shove it toward the stranger looking folks, snapping pictures as if her life depends on it.]
