depends on your pain tolerance and how skilled your piercer is. kinda feels like a brief pinch. ive been doing it for years with a potato and a sewing needle but i promise the equipment at the shop is a) cleaner and b) way less painful than that

super easy though or i wouldnt have done it to myself a fuckbillion times. dont recommend doing it to yourself though. come see me at the tat place if you want one.

Seems like you have your answer already but. It isn't terrible.
It's when you start messing with other places that it gets a little... spicy.
