I know I said I was worried about the magic being gone, but there has to be a better way to deal with this. We just need more time to work out what that is.

I have spoken to him. He seemed insistent that this is the only way. I still hold out hope that there is an alternative. There must be. I am going to spend my time researching what I can.

But the Inn is only a building. If the enchantments protecting it fail, and we are all without our abilities... It will be difficult for us to fend them all off.

To be honest, I don't know if this even is a solution. It seems more like we're being tricked into playing along with some kind of twisted game.

Likely, yes. In any other situation, I would not trust it. But he made a point. Beiwe and Ourania seem to be locked out. I'm sure they are fighting back as hard as they can, but they don't appear to be trapped in here with us in the same way he is.

I'm going to try. Considering it is a space outside of the Grove, I almost wonder if abilities will be available there. But if not, at least I might find some information.

You shouldn't trust him now. If he can grant immortality, then he has magic and should be able to help us already. If he's trapped here, he has no magic and is messing with us because we're desperate.

Has anyone managed to get there since this started? I know it's been too dangerous for most of us to risk it.

We don't know, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to find them before jumping straight to killing each other.

We don't even have any proof that this is a real solution.

Hence my desire to find another way. He typically sleeps during the winter, but last winter he certainly had enough power to flick us around like insects.

I haven't been, though I've been wanting to try. My brush with death has led me to being considerably more careful, but we are fast running out of time to be cautious.

I'm glad you're not rushing into anything. Things have been scary, but I hope no one's desperate enough or has bad enough intentions to resort straight to this without at least giving us chance to find some other way first.

It would probably be better if we go as a group, to be honest. Even if just a small one. We are all equally vulnerable right now.
