HOMEWORK CLUB (MAGIC EDITION)
[On the one hand, camp may not be the best place to start this. On the other, this has proven to be the safest they've been in months. It seems silly to wait when so many of them have new abilities they need to get a handle on before they find themselves in yet another life or death situation. Min-Gi uses arts and crafts to design a few posters advertising the magic study group by the lake. A cartoony wizard face with a macaroni beard is doodled beneath the text to try and help catch attention.
One the day itself, Min-Gi has set out blankets and a few chairs from the mess hall for anyone who wants a real seat instead of the blankets. There are pillows scattered around, so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable no matter where someone chooses to sit. There are paper and pens, and he's tried to set out helpful things for most of the branches of elemental magic. A pile of rocks for earth magic, a small campfire for pyromancy, and the lake is right there for water magic.
The other types of magic... that's where he's stalled a bit. He's created a space by the sign for conjurists, now armed with the understanding this itself is a summoned object. Maybe that can help them somehow? It's little further away from the main area, motivated mostly by knowing how destructive Ryan's summon can be. He's unsure if it's necessary, but there are some animal friendly treats here to encourage bonding. A first aid station has been set up too, along with a large sign warning people not to cause intentional harm for the sake of practicing healing magic.
Anyone else is going to have to improvise or come up with their own suggestions for Min to provide for future study groups. On the plus side, there are more than enough refreshments for everyone. The drinks are cold, and the snacks are plentiful. Ms. Bone-Jangles provided far more than Min-Gi had asked for, and there's enough variety there should be something to keep anyone who turns up happy. The bar has been set way too high and no one should expect this in future gatherings.]

[He's clearly kidding, but he sounds so tired. He jerks a thumb toward where his raccoon-dog summon is sitting next to the snack table with an entire stolen plate of pigs in a blanket. Furi is actually being really particular with them and pulling the hot dog parts out and leaving mangled bread behind.]

A little baby!! [Ain whistles to try to get his summoned owl to come closer, but he Insists on trying to stay on the sign and fixing his height via flying whenever he starts to fall into it.] Does your little baby bird also not listen to you? Haha~.

[ Thankfully him now being so little, the damage he could do is minimal.
He kinda ??? Holds the little out to the owl. Friend? Make friend? The baby's chirps at least calm down a bit. ]
To be honest I'm not really sure where to start.
woe healers be with ye, etc
- flasks and spray bottle lids, to make potions like they do where he's from. which means they're spray medicine. but then he thinks to himself that he should just let people drink these because that's how they do it in films, so there are sippy type water bottle lids after a moment. he'll do the math as to how to put these together later.
- bottled water, because all good liquids use fresh, filtered water as a base. this is VERY IMPORTANT and he will tell anyone curious that Fresh Water heals Pokemon too.
- herbs that promote healing, ground into a fine powder, because it just makes sense
- legally distinct gatorade flavour packets so that this doesn't taste like shit
Anyway, he's pretty sure he's doing this potion thing right. Either you get sprayed with legally distinct gatorade or you drink the legally distinct gatorade.
It uh... has a bit of a texture to it, of unmelted sugar granules and crushed herbs. But at least he remembered to imbue it with some of his healing magic and now the potions work? ?? ? ?
He's sparkling at you. He wants to know if he's done a good job or not, and you as his guinea pig have to tell him.]

He lets Urbain spray his finger, deciding that seems preferable to drinking the concoction. It's sticky and unpleasant. Min looks at him with an uncomfortable expression as he waits to see if it will work, slightly regretting agreeing to this.]
Does this normally take long, or...?

Conjuration | OTA his menace of a summon will bother anyone.
When they first had out of control powers his summon had been startling, but ultimately sort of cute and cuddly? They were an otter named Tomo (though it never spoke to say so. Ryan just...knew, all of a sudden.) Ever since he ate his rock though, he hasn't been able to bring Tomo back. Instead he's had to deal with Furi, and Furi is an absolute menace.
Ryan's pretty sure Furi is a fat raccoon with little bits of red in his fur. At a glance to someone who hasn't put up with him he might seem adorable, but Ryan knows better. The little guy can only be out in the world for an hour a day and he's already torn up so many clothes and stolen so many snacks (sometimes literally right out of Ryan's hands). He's knocked over garbage and hissed like it was Ryan's fault, unrolled the entire toilet paper roll in their bathroom so he could eat half of it, and most annoying of all he will summon himself if Ryan hasn't by the end of the day and wake him and Min-Gi up in the middle of the night, demanding their undivided midnight attention. He even bites, though he only seems to bite Ryan. Naturally.
Ryan's been bad at a lot of things in his life, but none of them have been as frustrating as dealing with his summon. What happened to Tomo? Tomo was nice! Why is his magic showing up as a little bitey trash animal?!
He has no idea, but he crouches down to meet Furi eye-to-eye. Furi is sitting on the ground and gnawing on a stick he found somewhere.]
Okay, look. Furi. Furi, can you like...be cool? It's time for magic practice! So, we've gotta...practice? C'mon, that sounds fun, right?
[Furi stares at Ryan, and even stops chewing on his stick to really look at him. But then he growls and takes off, dropping and accidentally snapping his stick in the process. Ryan drags his hand down his face and grits his teeth.]
Or you could do that!!! Cool...so cool of you, Furi...

[ His angry swans from last month are now a little cygnet. Still angry though. At least it's small enough to carry around. Hope Ryan isn't bothered by the squawking. ]

Not really? It's more like he showed up and I just knew what his name was. I don't know what's up with that since they can't talk or anything.

Honestly, he's a little scared of the raccoon-like creature. He's never hurt Min, but he has hissed at him and he's had to deal with the messes he's made and the bites he's given Ryan. His healing has become a lot more consistent in no small part because of his aggression, but that isn't how he wants to get better. This isn't how he wants Ryan to get better at magic either. He'd hoped the treats he'd put out in the conjuration area might help at least a little, but apparently the stick he's now broken had been much more enticing.
Min-Gi puts a gentle hand on the top of Ryan's arm, trying to ease some of his visible frustration.]
Maybe some treats would help you bond with him?

[It seems Furi had the same thought though, because Ryan barely has to turn to see Furi standing on his hind legs trying to reach the treats on the table. He is quite literally three seconds from tipping the entire thing over, actually--]

[Furi hisses in response in a way that feels like a pointed "fuck you you're not my dad!!!!!" and keeps reaching.]

[Maybe this is a bad idea, but he can't think beyond the thought of what will happen if the table topples over. He's gone from Ryan's side in an instant, arms outstretched as he runs to try and hold the table before Furi can pull it all down.]

[If not, there are some supplies at the first aid station. Just don't tell the mossy squirrel running the camp's official one. He hopes nothing severe enough to need to head there will happen here.
When there's nothing to clean up, Min takes it upon himself to look out for anyone who's struggling or seems at a loss. He approaches with his mini-synth in hand, eager to try out its latest spell.]

It doesn't quite know either so it just continues to fly around Lavi's head until it decides to land on his head, oozing itself out like a puddle of ink. Which makes the redhead jerk with a slight yell, it "drips" in a full puddle onto his lap.]

Flamebringer spots a flash of red and some ink, and curiosity gets the better of him. So here he is! He was going to go playfully zap Lavi with a small burst of electricity as a fun Prank™ but the lightning in his fingertips dies down by the time he gets there. So.
