In the spirit of camaraderie, Mydei has graciously agreed to cook everyone, new and old friends alike, a wonderful dinner! Surely nothing will go wrong and everyone will be normal.

[ Mydei may be cooking, but Jiaoqiu is Watching from the doorway.

It isn't his kitchen, and he isn't the one cooking. An odd feeling, but not entirely unfamiliar - he's eaten at plenty of restaurants, after all, and food is all well and good if it's someone else's treat. Mostly, he's standing back there trying to identify the ingredients being used. This world has already expanded his knowledge of food, and he considers it a pop quiz of sorts.

Not that he'll say as much. Cooking is an art form, and he'd hate to distract. ]

Jiaoqiu that's so ominous, he is Leering

[Mydei had been hard at work for a while now. The kitchen and lobby held the scent of cooked meats and spices. Dishes of minced meat and vegetables were currently cooking, and as for Mydei, he kept an eye on everything while he worked on desert.

It doesn't take long for Mydei to feel someone watching him, though. He glances back towards the strange man looming nearby.]

You can come in. I don't think we've met before.

[ It's not at all surprising that his presence has been noticed, even though Mydei doesn't have a Foxian nose or ears. It was only a matter of time. ]

And here I was hoping to guess what you were using from the doorway.

[ He was! It's not a lie. But he enters the kitchen anyway. ]

I don't think we have. I'm Jiaoqiu, military healer of the Xianzhou Yaoqing.

How many Greek dishes does he know

[Mydei pauses for a moment, watching Jiaoqiu with curisoity.]

My name is Mydei, Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos. [Ya know, since they're doing full titles and all. He's not going to mention the whole Demigod, Titan thing.]

I've heard of the Xianzhou from Dan Heng and the Trailblazers. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lord Jiaoqiu.

[ Aha, he thought so. Seems like a whole group of those associated with the Trailblazer in some way have found their way here. How odd... ]

Please, just call me Jiaoqiu. But if you insist on titles, then you can call me Doctor.

[ Crown Prince or not, Jiaoqiu doesn't see any difference between Mydei and anyone else. Even royalty eventually needs a doctor for something. ]

[Mydei has a lot of respect for healers.

He's never truly needed them, but that doesn't mean that he thinks their craft is useless. He had entertained Hyacine when she fussed over him, after all.]

I'm working on a variety of dishes.

[He points out a few dishes, including:

a mountain of pita bread, Tiropitakia (Cheese Pies), Keftedes (Meatballs), Slow Roasted Lamb, to name a few. ]

I'm currently working on dessert while those cook.

[ Oh! He does not recognize the small triangle pastries, but meatballs are meatballs no matter where you are, and roasted meat, too. Jiaoqiu steps closer, taking the opportunity to try to scent out specific herbs. They do look good, and they smell pleasant. ]

Cooking is my specialty, as well. Though, I typically tailor my meals to the health of the recipient. I practice medicinal cooking. I don't suppose you've heard of it?

[ He's curious how it might translate to Mydei's particular style of cooking. Despite the differences, cold and hot foods are still going to be good for the same things, at least. ]

[Mydei began cooking simply because he was tired of eating raw meat and rations. And he lived with a bunch of men who apparently couldn't put two ingredients together to make something other than Stew of Questionable Origins.

Medicinal cooking does pique his interest, though, and Mydei turned to look at him.]

I can't say I have. [Unless you count how he is able to poison his dishes just for Phainon's consumption.] I am interested in hearing more about it if you're willing. I would love to learn different dishes and flavors.
