[A new building has appeared in the South part of the Grove.

It's small. It's exterior seems dilapidated and old despite its newness, and- at least for the first day it's around- every window is shattered and decrepit looking. This is the building that Wolfwood had asked Heimr to build for him, and honestly he was not expecting it to look this bad. It's actually kindof impressive. Like, dude, you have...magic, how could you not have made it look less shitty than this-

But, well. If anybody is wondering what it is, the shape of its steeple and the fact its topped with a little cross would clue anyone in who has familiarity with such iconography that this is, in fact, a Church. A Church that has little by way of entertainment to offer guests, but should you wander inside...

It's just as run down as the outside, though mostly because there's plant life growing everywhere. It's structurally sound otherwise, mostly, and it's clear given how some of the vines have been torn away recently that someone is trying to clean it up. It's...depending on when you find it, either empty, or there's Elsword watching you from the rafters because Wolfwood hasn't figured out how to remove him yet. He may just live here now.

Other than that though, there are books that you can pull from behind the pews to read. Bibles- "Bibles"- that don't seem to conform to any religion so much as it talks about a strange sort of religious order surrounding "Plants", so that probably isn't suspicious at all.

At the head of the sanctuary is a pulpit where a pastor might presumably give a sermon, and off to the side of it is a confessional box. The confessional box has a piece of notebook paper taped to it that reads "5 shells for 15 minutes. Confess all of your sins. -W"

The pulpit itself, if this building's owner wasn't clear enough, has a little plaque on it that reads, as if sarcastically: Saint Nicholas]

Anyway, it's still cold as hell out. Might as well make a nice bonfire for people to wake up to.

[zahliya can have all the words he wants. livio might go just a little tiny bit feral over the chance to burn some fucked up nml-adjacent religious texts. even he joins in on gathering the pamphlets, after he sets aside what he was working on previously.]

[He's glad, if nothing else, that doing this seems to be putting Livio in a better mood. That said...he feels like he does need to say something as they work.]

[part of livio wonders if nick actually gets more comfort from this sort of thing, or if wolfwood is just better at convincing himself it means anything. though that line of thought brings guilt down on his head as usual -- what would nick think of him if he admitted his years of blaspheming, even if it was only in his heart?

[now, all livio said was that he doubts nick would ask for that stuff. but he shoots wolfwood a fond look, thinks twice about it, and decides yeah, he should be honest.]

[Wolfwood scoffs, struggling to work the exasperated smile off his face when Livio says that.]

[gathering these booklets with the intent to destroy them actually gives livio a little bit of confidence. he can only imagine the sort of lectures and punishments chapel would have prepared if he caught livio embracing or even encouraging "softness." there's the tiniest sadistic part of him, not even razlo, that feels glee at the mere thought.]

I don't think it's a matter of "gone soft." I just don't believe that the Eye beat it out of you. Or ever could.

[He makes his way back over with a couple sheaths of paper under his arm. It's enough to start piling up outside before he goes back for more, he thinks, but he wants to go with Livio when he does.]

Well...I'm glad you think so.

[Wolfwood sighs, looking back down the aisles towards the double doors to the church.]

It's funny. I always thought, if I ever could see the Orphanage again, and everyone there somehow knew I was me...I'd still be unrecognizable.

[Hardened by his life, turned into a completely different person despite it all.]
