[ Moder moving around the Grove in general is something that everyone should notice on a daily basis. A building-sized horror-moose just has that effect, really. But when she is full sprinting through the forest and getting back into the Grove, it's perhaps even more noticeable. Hard to miss you, Moder.

Regardless, Mizuki and Ain returned to the Grove and are... mostly unscathed. Mizuki looks completely fine, actually. Ain is a little scuffed and beaten, but perhaps that's not so easy to see when there's a whole sea jelly clinging onto him.

Though he will pry himself off of Moder and Ain once he realizes where he is and...

He has a lot of apologies and hugs to give out. He isn't sure where to begin, really. ]

[Honestly, Mizuki's penchant for seeing the best in people is probably why he's friends with Wolfwood at all. Why he's bothered to give him therapy for this long at all. He sees potential in him where Wolfwood can't always find it, and that's a rare thing to find these days.

Wolfwood can't find it in himself to pity the Forest, but he has his own reasons for feeling that way. He's far more jaded, bitter, and stubborn, with a chip on his shoulder large enough to be difficult to shake away.

Maybe one day, he'll be able to forgive and forget. But that day isn't today, which is why he's leaving it up to Mizuki and others to decide how they're going to feel.]

...you're a good kid. A good kid who didn't deserve what happened to you.

And if he really wants to make amends for it, I hope he really fuckin' means to do it.

And I think he does. I think that sometimes people see a path they're familiar with and take that, instead of deviating to new ones. It's scary to change. It's scary to be on a road you're not used to. Each step feels foreign and gets you out of your comfort zone.
But I think, more than ever, people who do that just need a little help. Someone to hold their hand so the road's not so scary anymore.

[He gives Mizuki a light, playful little thump on the forehead. Not that he has any room to talk, of course, being that he should technically be like 16 right now and not in his mid twenties himself.]

...but yeah. I can understand feelin' like that, at least. And if it turns out he does turn over a new leaf and makes amends, I'll eat my words. But until then...I'll be cautiously suspicious until proven otherwise.

Well, of course. I don't expect anything less. After all, you'd gotten a very personal, targeted attack from the forest. You lost your leg. Having someone who admits to helping it, even if they want to make amends, still must feel personal, right?
Like even if he didn't do anything, I'm sure you still feel like you deserve an apology?

Me? ...nah. There are others who deserve that more.

[He's since made his peace with it. What he did, what he lost to come back. That doesn't mean he's happy to hear someone's been fucking around with the Forest, granted, but it's a little too late for regrets at this point.]

Either way, somethin' needs to happen. Cause now, we're all in real fuckin' trouble. The Forest was already strong, but if it's even stronger than it was? Has even more ins than it did?
