Whaaaat? But castles are the best place to put a dungeon! They're so dark and creepy and gross, its the ideal hiding spot for monsters.

In fact, just a few weeks ago we had to storm a big spooky mansion! And a mansion is just a castle without all the towers and big walls and gates. There were monsters and ghosts all over the place, you really missed your chance~

what's the point of fighting a monster that's locked up in jail? that's like cheating

Besides, if there aren't any locks all the monsters would just leave.

In adventure dungeons the monsters are there to guard the loot! or because the loot is evil, or the dungeon is their home or who cares

it's TOTALLY different from a castle dungeon

How do you know a castle dungeon can't also be an adventure dungeon, hmmm?

Maybe you've just been skipping perfectly good dungeons full of treasure this whole time~
