Where there's a will there's a way [open]
Who: Will and.... YOU
What: Various general Will things
When: Post Suri fight and to the end of the month. Timey-whimey don't worry about it
Where: All over town
Warnings: none currently, will update if needed
[Well, that was a disaster.
When the massive god-fighting party left he felt a little guilty for not going. His magic skills were average at best, but any healing was good healing, right? But the moment Aurora brought back the suvivors and he saw Joshua without Clive he instantly knew he made the right choice. He can't even make himself feel bad for not being able to help his new friends- he woulda just died. He DID consider going with the younger Rosfeild to the Garden though, more to satisfy his own curiosity. But as those waiting for their loved ones got antsier and antsier he decided he would be... imposing. Seeing people he didn't know well being so emotional felt crude.
So while they were gone and the days after he spends his time doing what he always does when feeling emotionally... awkward. He stays busy.
For one thing, if he was going to live in the Inn long term, he might as well help out. No one seemed to own it outright, though Tingyun seems to have settled in as a makeshift matron. He doesn't mind that one bit. She too seems like someone that does their best when they have a role and task. But even if she's taking the lead he eventually ends up digging through the Storage and dragging out the dusty items left behind by... whoever owned this place Way Back When.]
I wonder if any of this is still good?
[After a lot of dusty work he eventually can't take the simple washing of the Inn anymore and heads out to the Bathhouse he's heard about. He doesn't have MUCH fur, but what he has needs upkeep! After a bit of investigation he settles into the male bath, looking quite delighted. So many soaps! Most of them smell too strongly for him, but he finds something with a simple light scent to start scrubbing at his poor dried out tail. This is definitely going to become part of his routine.
Later in the week he takes a day to explore the various shops others have set up- fascinating, since there doesn't seem to be a real currency used here outside the weird shells and bones by the river. He has to bundle up quite a bit still, even with the blizzard easing just a bit. But there's a bar? A bakery? A tailor? You might find him in just about any player built location, ears and nose twitching at all the options. Honestly the bar likely comes last, as he settles in for a good long visit with his cups.]

bathhouse
Until he spots him using that soap on his tail. Which he assumes is fur. ]
No!
[ It's almost a shriek. He sweeps in without so much as a how do you do, looking affronted. Like Will just insulted his entire ancestry. And he snatches the soap to toss it aside like it's a snake, his nose wrinkling. ]
You will ruin your poor fur with this! Tsk!
[ He searches around through the built up items, until he finds what he wants. Light enough it shouldn't upset Wills nose, gentle enough for the fur and animal skin he assumes is under it. And he sits himself down to just reach for Wills tail like it's his own. Give him. ]
no subject
Hey, hey! What was wrong with it?!
no subject
You will dry your fur! You wish it done proper, yes?!
[ Once Wills tail is resoaked, he begins to work the soap up into a lather before tackling his tail, fingers surprisingly gentle despite his ire. ]
no subject
Not my fault nothing here is marked for beastkin.
no subject
[ Carefully he works out tangles too as he works the soap in, nails scratching lightly at skin, squinting as he peers at it. ]
Yes yes, I shall make sure to mark things for scales and fur. When was the last time this was washed proper? Your skin is dry!
no subject
[it's not DIRTY at least, but yeah, the weather and a general all purpose soap has done it no help]
no subject
Absolutely not. You will visit every other day. At least your hair looks marginally better.
[ He pauses in rubbing the soap into Wills tail to peer at his hair, wrinkling his nose. ]

[ While he lets the soap soak into the tail, he finds another and grabs Will's head to begin lathering the hair up too.
Again, rather gently. ]
no subject
[he seems very intense about that fact]
no subject
[ His own tail slides along the ground to curl around him as he gently massages the shampoo into Wills hair. ]
no subject
[Said oddly softly. And these few weeks Will hasn't been anything less than chipper at all times. But right now he certainly does not]
no subject
... Hmph. If you wish. Now relax and let me work my magic.
no subject
... you're really good at this.
no subject
[ He's worked on himself both on Earthbread and here enough times. He hums thoughtfully as he carefully avoids Wills ears, fingers gentle as they untangle and smooth. ]
Worry not, we will get your hair and fur luxurious.
no subject
[Is he purring? Oh god, he is]
I ain' had someone else scrub it since I was a pup...
no subject
Oh no that's so cute. Smitten. ]
Well, let's remedy that~ Every visit to the bath house I shall make sure you are pampered. It is my job~

I have no need for coin, nor the medallions or shells the others dig up.
[ Will... will just owe him a favor is all. ]

[ Now time for conditioner because there's no way he's letting this man get away just Clean.
It will take him a bit to find something that wont be too scented, then he'll start to work it through the hair. ]
Though~ You know you can trust me. Did my incense not help?
no subject
But no such thing as a free meal.
no subject
[ He's also wicked and he leans in, his voice dropping as he brings his mouth close to Will's ear. ]
You will simply owe me another favor.
