[ He takes the rock to eyeball it. Like Joshua he can feel the power in it, it feels like if he was touching someone he could drain an Eikon from. The signature is unlike any Eikon, however, and he hands it back. It felt almost like touching Ultima. Divinity. ]
[He blushes, ears pinning but tail wagging. Embarrassed but not un-pleased]
None of that.
[He takes the stone back, focusing on it. Is glows softly. His lips move, mumbling a bit as he sends prana into the stone- a much more subtle and careful version of the cursebreaking he used last time, actually woven into a spell this time. Then hands it back to Clive.]
Okay, now touch him and focus like you would when you passed the Blessing. I'll handle the rest.
[ He'll prolly get kicked for that but it's worth it, a little grin on his face, before he reaches out to touch his brother's hand, taking it to hold it.
He closes his eyes to focus. It was easy with the Blessing, that was simply handing back over something that belonged to Joshua to begin with. It was already pulling to go home. This is different. He reaches out to his brother like he would have if he was searching for the Phoenix to take it, and has to stop the very eager desire in him that demands he do just that. Take it. Consume it. Become whole. Rip it from him and-
He grimaces a little and settles that, instead simply tries to wrap his aether in with his brothers. Like when Phoenix and Ifrit merged. ]
[ Joshua can feel the way that Clive's aether reaches out to his own. It does feel similar to Ifrit Risen, in a way, or at least the beginning of the merge. It's... strange. But it's there, and that's what matters. ]
[ He reaches out with his prana, connecting with the amount and the spell left in the stone. Flow flow flow- out of the container and into Clive. Not too different than when he healed him, or the earlier transfer. Only there's something else. The hint of the moon. Empowered and divine. Soothing. The spell travels with it, encoded instructions. Clive might feel the skin where his flesh arm becomes stone hand tingle and itch as the spell tries to set to work there. But Will urges it along.
As it goes more prana, more aether, gathers- only this time from him. Like a rolling snowball. Will aims for fire aspected aether. It's the element they all three share, after all, and so the easiest to work with.]
Alright Josh, here it comes. This is probably gonna feel weird.
[And through the connection it goes, into Joshua. And unlike with Clive he let's the spell and aether go where it wants. Seek out the lacking parts and and start digging.
At least unlike when they frantically healed Clive there is none of the violent yanking. But like a scab itching to be picked off it's... likely rather unpleasant in such tender body parts]
[ ... oh. Oh, that feels... odd. Joshua's nose very quickly begins to wrinkle, and he inhales a breath, his grip tightening on Clive's hand. It's like something being peeled from his insides, slowly and painfully.
When he exhales, it's a trembling breath, but he doesn't cough. Not yet. He's trying not to let it happen, as long as he can hold out. ]
[ He refuses to open his eyes, and his voice is tight with the pain of it, but sure! He's fine! He doesn't want Will to pull his focus in too many directions. ]
[His ears pin, and sorry buddy, he's stitching some pain numbing into the spell- which means Clive gets a little too, lol. It's about all he can do and still focus though. He's no Capital M Mage, after all]
[ Ah. Will didn't have to do that. But all the same, the way that it takes the edge off is appreciated. Like someone helping to lift a weight - it's still heavy, but less. ]
[ Ten minutes is just fine. He's withstood worse for longer. Compared to holding Ultima in his body for five years, the feeling of the curse slowly chipping away from him is nothing.
But he isn't going to stop squeezing Clive's hand all the while. ]
[And Will is shockingly quiet for that time. He's focused, of course. But also trying to get Joshua to talk to distract him might just make his throat hurt more.
Ten minutes feels very long in silence, but Will keeps on track by counting the time down in his head, his ears twitching almost in beat. Eventually:]
Okay, maintain the connection.
[He slows the flow to a gentle stop, his spell retreating back]
[ It's an almost trance-like state that Joshua falls into as the treatment continues, and he doesn't move the whole time, taking in shallow breaths, almost like he's sleeping.
But as Will finally speaks again, he lets out a heavy breath through his nose, opening his eyes. He can feel the spell ebbing, and as instructed, he takes a few breaths. Will said deep ones, but he wants to work himself up to that, because--
A clearing of his throat turns into a cough. But it's only two. Not a coughing fit like he would have had before. ]
Though it's incredibly good news, Joshua's mind doesn't know what to do with it for a moment. They've never had a cure before. There's never even been a treatment. But this. This.
Clive's apology shakes him out of it, and he looks at his brother, smile widening as it forms on his lips. He gives Clive's hand a tight squeeze. ]
No, Clive. This is fantastic news. Even if Ifrit was interfering, it still took care of some of it. That's better than anything we could have hoped for.
[ He then turns to Will, only barely resisting the urge to pull the man into a hug. ]
[ Joshua nods, but does he take the request seriously? Probably not. ]
I think I could. Particularly with some preparation, I might be able to take something that could dull the pain, so that you don't need to overextend yourself.

Cough if you need too. We have tea.

We'll let it go for... hmm... ten minutes, then I'll check you over. Let me know if we need to break sooner.

[ He closes his eyes to focus on Joshua's aether, brow furrowed. Looking, looking....]
Ha, there you are... heh.
[he opens his eyes]
Not as much as I hoped, but the petrification is definitely smaller than before. Just a little.

[ He pauses. Greedy isn't the right word. Hungry. Voracious.
Clive was made to consume.
He gives his brother an apologetic look. ]

None of that. I told you: thank me once it's fully cured.
... do you think you could put up with that for longer periods?
no subject
I think I could. Particularly with some preparation, I might be able to take something that could dull the pain, so that you don't need to overextend yourself.

That would be best. Painkilling is an easy spell, but that IS a second spell while I'm doing cursework. I'd rather not be distracted.
Just... we have time. Don' try and force it.
