[ Welcome one, welcome all! Enciodes has set up a small stand by Ydalir's tent, and all it has is a little binder labeled "Creatures for Sale" with pictures for said animals inside. Seeing as he's often busy with the Archives and doing things for town hall meetings and such, you'll be able to catch him at the stand in the mornings or just after dinner, and the binder will go to Ydalir when he's not manning it.

It's not exactly a luxurious place or anything, but it's charming all the same. It could use some decorations, but he'll work on that when the time comes. Would you like to buy something? ]

((OOC: A lot of this is not filled out, and you're free to add your own blurbs. If you want me to fill out a section like the ones I have already, let me know, and I can come up with stuff! :) ))

[Till is probably here to buy something from the store...though to be honest he's more just milling about while not many people are here because even though he knows how to get "money" here, being overwhelmed by potential choice is a hell of a thing...like what do you mean he can ask for almost anything? Sounds illegal.

Anyway...he comes across the stand with the binder, and since he was about to leave anyway, he starts flipping through it. The sight of all of these strange creatures feels him with a unique sense of dread. Like...they all look like aliens...

Then, he flips to the stupidest looking slimy thing he's ever seen and balks.]

A friend, mostly. They don't have official names that I could find in my archives, but... I've been calling that one "canisnail". Would you like to see him? I could bring him out to you, he's really not that large.

Uhh. Well, I dunno. I'm kindof just looking...I was actually leaving.

[He mumbles, shifting from one foot to the other. He didn't actually buy anything from the store, come to think of it.]

You sure he's a "friend"? Like, he don't have corrosive slime or something like that?

No, just normal snail slime. It can get a little messy, but it's not as bad as, say, a real snail. Pretty minimal.

[....yeah well Till is too embarrassed to admit he's never seen a "real snail", so he doesn't know what snails are even supposed to be like. Like, if he sees an actual snail now at any point he's going to be like "aw it doesn't have any legs :("]

I do have a few. One moment.

[ He picks through a few of the pages and pulls the pictures from the binder to set them side by side. The rideable mounts are 3, 4, 15, 29, 32, 39, 41, 44, 45, 47, 50, 51, 52, 57, 58. Though, Enciodes will not be pulling away any of the slower or "uncool" ones. That's for Wolfwood to decide on. ]

It is. They get about... [ Enciodes gestures with his hands, to the size of a small cat. ] This big? Excluding the tail. I could bring one out, if you'd like.

[ Fantastic news, then! The fox-cat-dragon-thing is brought out quickly. It's a little bit wiggly, but it likes to soak warmth from people's necks and is incredibly cuddly.

He sets it on the counter. ]

Here you are. You're welcome to take it out for a day, if you'd like. You don't have to decide immediately or anything like that.

[Picks it up like a proper cat. Hm... appropriately squishy... shaped... lets her crawl up onto his shoulder.]

I hadn't told anyone who frequents the greenhouse yet, not just you. I've been working on training them personally, anyway, so you're finding out at the same time as everyone else. Sans Gnosis, I suppose.

I could use a mobile greenhouse. [YOU HAVE. TWO GREENHOUSES. AND YOUR BEDROOM.] Plus, the little guys that water plants — I'd like to see one of those too, provided they synergize well with the deer-looking guy.

[ Enciodes bows his head before he takes his leave for a moment, but the gardeern and two plant sprites are brought out for Flamebringer. The former already has a few dandelions growing from her mane. The plant sprites are feasting from berries in Enciodes' hand, and they're hardly bigger than his hand at that. ]

Flamebringer, immediately being soft for the animals, holds his hand out to the gardeern and then immediately gives her cheek rubs.]

[ Great! He's going to pull a guide from the back of the book specific to both his creatures. ]

Fortunately, they're pretty straightforward. The small watering sprites will generally take care of themselves. They will require their water to be cleaned, but you can usually do that quite easily with a normal bath about twice a month. Give them access to exposed sunlight for at least eight hours a day, and they like to sleep in smaller, enclosed spaces, like plant pots.

The garden deer here will take more effort, but nothing I'm sure you're not already equipped for. She will take care of bugs and pests that get to the plants themselves, but it also means that weeds grow on her very quickly, so you'll have to pull them off of her at least three times a week, but I would go over her daily just to be sure. She drinks a lot of water so be sure she has access to that, and... she actually eats bugs as her primary diet? Which might be a bit strange, but I do have a bucket of worms, if you'd like.

He pulls the glove on his flesh-and-blood hand off and holds it up for Enciodes to see. His fingers have started to turn black.]

I have, and you will have to forgive me for not seeking a cure. [Like most Corrupted, Zahliya has started to skeeve him out too.] I know of its effects already.

Is it obvious? [the tall deerlike thing is nibbling his hair now. Thorns just takes this on the nose.]

[ Enciodes reaches under the stand and pulls out a couple pieces of charcoal to put on the counter. The creature trots over to start eating it, making the flames in its belly flare a bit. ]

Yes, well... this creature was found meandering around the northern part of the Grove. I imagine perhaps in response to it previously being burned? It may have lived there and evolved to eat and burn the corrupted plants there, if I had to guess. Though, admittedly, I'm not entirely sure. [ He pats the top of its head, but once it's done eating, it goes back over to Thorns. ] As such, though, it's attracted to those who are corrupted. Unclear why. Maybe he thinks you're food...?

[nomnomnom... it actually looks like it might be grooming him? Based on the way it suddenly licks his head anyway. It leaves his hair sticking up, but... when is his hair not doing that?]

It has some practical use either way. [LIIIIIICK] I would not mind taking it off your hands.

Of course. The care guide is easy for him. He prefers open spaces he can wander, and only sleeps when it's cold. He eats coal, charcoal, and easily burnable things like dried grass, newspaper and hay. I could get you a written guide if you'd prefer, though?
