Warden Time!
Who: Mamika + The Warden Crew! (This could be you!!!)
What: Talking to the Warden
When: Beginning of May
Where: The Forest
Warnings: Will be in the header as they come up
[ Neo Eden is officially gone and everyone is back in the Grove, and Mamika, of course, has been planning her trip to the Forest all last month. She has...a LOT of things prepared. Food and blankets and extra clothes and lanterns and even stuff like hand fans and wilderness books. Overprepped and ready to go! The afternoon before, Mamika writes a message in the notebook. ]
Everyone, please sleep well! Please meet up with me by the well in the morning if you want to talk to the Mister Hooldin.
[ Warden. She's doing her best.
Regardless, she put together a bunch of packs with said stuff shoved in them, and Mamika is handing all of them off to people who show up with a little smile. She's still in her school outfit, but her magical wand is out. She probably intends to transform before they actually go out into the woods. Understandably. ]
Okay! Um... so... I'm not really sure what to expect out there! But... we're gonna do our best to talk to him and hopefully convince him to come to the Grove. Someone might have to talk to Miss Mooselady, too, because I don't think they like each other that much, but... um!! I think we can do this!
We should still have things planned in case things go horribly wrong, though...

It seems quiet today. Nothing seems to be pawing at the walls of the barriers, nothing howling in the distance.
And yet, as always, something watches.

Yeah, those are bad signs. Oscar is just going to fall back to the rear of the group and quietly start drawing little guide arrows in the dirt with his cane. They probably won't be much help, but better safe than sorry.

TOUCHES HEAD
The ground rumbles and logs of dead wood and thorns burst from the earth.
Bakugo gets hit right in the chest, sent flying in the air- he most certainly has at least two broken ribs. The thorns also scrape his skin, cutting in- and with them comes a burst of ice in his blood, freezing yet burning hot. ... Is that... Deku, before him? No. Don't be dumb. But he's going to be haunted by a ghost of someone not there- and Deku has a lot to say about how he's been treated all of his life. ... None of it good.
Mamika follows, launched to the side. She will definitely have a broken rib as well, but she only marginally does better than Bakugo. She too gets pierced by the thorns, with the same agonizing pain and the one woman with Mamika's blood on her hands standing behind her, attacking- physically, they will never land, as it's a hallucination, but Mamika doesn't know that!
Stephanie gets clipped in the arm by a branch, and it definitely hurt- oh, wait, no. Thorn. The pain seers, but it's less so than what the others experience. She just has to also contend with is that Batman in the shadows?
Joshua only just barely dodges, but he knows deep in his heart that it was a close one- thorns just hair's breath away from his face linger, and he'll have to carefully maneuver his way through the thorned vines and the logs jutting from the ground, because he is pinned.
Dipper does pretty well, only getting minor bruising!
Wolfwood is fine, having been able to maneuver himself and his weapons with practiced ease. No murderforest shenanigans here!
Oscar is fine. He's so fine that he's basically just standing in a small field of flowers while everyone else is caught in the murder trees. A dove delicately lands on his head.
The hallucinations can be helped!

Joshua winces, hard, expecting an impact and... not getting one. By the rush of air alone, he knows that it came close to hitting him, and opening his eyes, he can see just how much. Thorns threaten to scrape and pierce should he move incorrectly, and he sucks in a breath, too afraid to move yet.
But what of the others? ]
Is everyone all right?!
no subject
Shit!]
Mamika!!
[Without thinking, he's going to try to rush towards where the thorns burst from the ground to get to her and the others, surely he'll be fine-]

Two broken ribs? To Katsuki, that's fine, he's used to that. Has taken mental note of the ice burning beneath his skin and is careful to use his Quirk to blast it with heat if he has to - doesn't like that he's apparently seeing Deku AGAIN, though. ]
CUT IT OUT WITH THIS DEKU SHIT?? [ He's decided its fake, and, annoyed - and foolishly targeting the ghost immediately. ]

Everyone stay close!
[ Is that Batman? Him appearing now would be strange enough, but he's not running in to help.
She has more important things to worry about right now. ]
no subject
Wait, don't—!
[ Hard to say if he's yelling more at Wolfwood or Bakugo, but it doesn't make much difference either way. So he gives up on trying to prevent any rash behavior from most of the group and turns his attention to the one person he knows for a fact has some amount of skill as a healer. ]
Joshua, are you alright?
[ He's gonna start carefully picking his way towards Joshua, using his cane to shove aside any thorns as he goes. ]
no subject
[ He can't recall feeling injuries, at least, and if he doesn't move, he won't get pricked. ]
If I knew it wouldn't spread to the others, I would use my magic to burn this away.
no subject
[ He keeps working his way towards Joshua, making sure to keep his Aura up as he carefully pulls back assorted vines and logs. It's... pretty slow going. ]
Does anyone have a knife?
[ Or a machete or axe or other sharp object...? ]
no subject
MAMI-
[And then he gets whacked by a log, sending him back. He doesn't stay on the ground long, barely dodging the thorns sprouting up around him. He'll feel that in a few places later. In the aftermath, he sees Wolfwood go to Mamika, so he turns to Oscar instead.]
I've got something that might work.
[He flips the safety back on his gun, hits another switch and the whole thing changes like a transformer into a polearm. There's a nice, sharp blade at the end.]
[Hopefully that helps them get to Joshua a little quicker.]
