[Natsuno was going to sit under that tree, take his newly-regained flamethrower apart and clean it. Ydalir warned him not to burn the entire forest, but he can at least make sure the weapon is in good shape.]

[ Brook goes quiet for a second, then lifts an arm to his mask to try and give a small sniff. Does he smell like corpse?? He thought he was doing a good job keeping that covered… Or perhaps Natsuno had just caught on to the fact he hasn't eaten anything since getting here??? Interesting. ]

You're not surprised. [ They're just stating facts. Next one of them is gonna say "the sky is blue" or "water is wet". ] You deal with stuff like that often, then?

Is that what the flamethrower is for? Because I should warn you in advance, I don't exactly burn.

Not that often. [After Sotoba, there was nothing to "deal" with. All the undead he's since met were trying their best to navigate a bad situation without hurting anyone.] But you smell like a corpse.

[No offense. Natsuno looks at the flamethrower and shakes his head.]

I was just about to clean it. I'm not interested in burning you, or any of the residents.

[ He's frowning under the mask. Deeply. All the offense taken, actually. ]

…I pray you just have good olfactory senses. [ Brook doesn't really have that, thankfully. He adjusts himself to slide from the tree and onto the ground. He gives a subtle little hop afterwards to keep his balance. ] You say "residents" so easily. Do you think being trapped here automatically makes us that?

No. But I don't care much about semantics. [He shrugs.] You can call us "otherworlders," "outsiders" or even "prisoners" if you want.

[ He's, again, going to gesture to the flamethrower. Mostly because he's just really confused, like, bro?? Are you???? good???? ]

What's this for, anyway? I don't suppose you were trying to burn the trees down, right?

[Except he might have tried anyway if Ydalir didn't warn him that he'd end up like Nene and Elsword, oops.]

I have it for self defense in case more monsters come out of the woods.

[Natsuno doesn't actually say duh, but he obviously thinks that. What else would you have a weapon for? And no, he's not okay, thanks for asking.]

I feel like setting a monster on fire might come with similar results, though. Where did you even find that... [ Sir, he has concerns. ]
