Netbook; pre-Nightvale

I've been a merman for a while now, and even though I still kind of enjoy it I think I'm ready to turn back. I'll miss the Seaborn, but I'm so far away in the river and it's not like I can't come back and visit.

Plus Ryan and I have our birthday in a few days. It would be nice if we could be together for all of it instead of him having to come out and visit me all the time.

The problem is I don't see any mushrooms I can use to turn back along the shore. I hate to ask, but if someone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Please bring clothes. Ryan can help with that.

[It actually does sort of work is the most annoying part. He's being a jerk and Min can recognize that, but he knows how much he's actually appreciated the break from humanity himself.]

So don't bring me the mushrooms. There's got to some somewhere around here. As long as there's someone to tell me where they are and make sure I have my clothes I can probably get there myself.

[That seems as good a meeting point as any. It stands out more than a lot of the river anyway. He can hang out with the Seaborn while he's waiting, so at least he won't be bored.]

[as promised, raz approaches with a bundle of clothes from ryan as well as a fistful of mushrooms. he's human again for the moment, and doesn't look incredibly happy about it, but it could be worse. he stops by the crossing of stones and looks between min and his armful.]

Y'want me to chuck it in or just drop it here?

As it is... well. He gets it. He might be putting this off longer if it wasn't for their birthday. But Raz insisted. He'd given him the out. It's not Min's fault if he didn't take it.]

[He's not totally sure if Razlo's talking about the mushrooms themselves or his clothes as well, but he'd rather not take that chance. He can pull himself out of the river. It's fine.]

[literally, min-gi has done nothing wrong to raz, ever. and in a fucked up, roundabout way, this might be razlo's stupidass attempt at an apology for giving him so much shit. kind of pointless if he's still giving min shit in the process.

[That's... strangely nice of him. Min still isn't sure what to make of his different personalities, but this is definitely the side of him he expects to be mean. He stares at the two piles for a moment, vaguely dreading the prospect of being himself again.

It will be worth it to make sure he and Ryan can spend their birthday together, but he can't think of the last time he's felt this at ease with himself. He's not sure he ever has.]

[He's very aware that he was silent for too long to sound like he means it, but he does. Min-Gi is grateful for Razlo's help. He's just nervous. Both of his saviour and whether or not this will even work. He swims up to the shore, pulling himself on land with some reluctance.

He does debate at least putting on the top half of his clothes, but that seems a little high risk considering he has no idea what form he might take first time. So instead he sits awkwardly, not making a move for either pile.]
