… I’ve always been told it’s… like your path. Predetermined, and absolute. Or so they say. To me, people don’t use it to explain the unexplainable, they use it as their faith. That things will happen, regardless of your choices.

That I will kill someone I care about. That I will bring end to the Holy War. That I will cease to exist. That there’s no use trying to change any of that — it’s my “fate”.

But I don’t think that’s true. I think waiting for fate it’s stupid. Why would I not fight against it? It can’t be absolute. I’ll find a way to break it.

[ He hadn’t meant to just lay everything out. Maybe this is why confessionals are set up like this? Not seeing the other person… helps. Makes it easier to rant- ]

…What’s your situation?

Isn't that how it works? The confess-er is on this side? Or does that not matter?

[ So, it's not too far off from what Kanda had experienced. Only difference being... the Black Order tended to be a mixed bag of morality a lot of the time. Even the people who made Kanda had varying qualms about what they were doing - many regretting it, even. From the way Wolfwood talks about this, though, there is no such gray morals. ]

...That's awful. Did... did they threaten to do that if you left, or...? Does your world not have laws or enforcement to... protect children like that?
