Hello! Today I want to make sure we all know the difference between certain plants.

As you can see, they all look similar, but these two are safe. One has five prongs on its leaves and smooth vines. It's called a Virginia Creeper.

The Hog Peanut has smooth, round and dull leaves.

Blackberry bushes look like many other plants, but if you see thorns on the stems, then you're safe! They also fruit!

Poison Ivy, however, have three leaflets that alternate along the stem, and can have dull leaves but are usually glossy. It also holds an oily resin called urushiol, which causes itching and rashes after contact with skin.



It does not go on your face.

[Stardust is beside himself, sad and pouting. he should know better than to touch mysterious plants. it just had looked so soft, and he'd been so curious. maybe, were he still his Star-Cookie self, he would not have had such a terrible reaction.

anyway, he sits up for White Lily, one side of his face blotchy and burning. he has mittens on to remind himself to not claw at his skin]

A little better, only thanks to you. I touched it, and then rubbed my cheek against the leaves.

It does feel rather nice, yes...? But it can be dangerous to touch things that you aren't familiar with.

I've brought you an ointment to use for the rash, and some gentle soaps and other things. Have you washed your face and hands yet? If not, please do so.

Stardust Cookie quickly removes his mittens so that he can apply some of the lotion to his hands and cheek delicately. it stings at first, but hurts far less than plain water. and, after a moment, the ointment becomes cooling. nice]

Oh, am I your first? How wonderful! One of my loves, Pure Vanilla Cookie, also has floral ancestry. But I am pure flower! I am White Lily Cookie. We tend to be rather solitary, truth be told.
