kidnapping sun mommy
Who: Beat, Felicity, Josh going lmao
What: Moving Sun Mommy from the Burnt Village to the Grove
When: Morning of the 11th
Where: Burnt Village/Grove
Warnings: watching a dog swear and wrestle with a statue
[With Livios question still on his mind, and the day after the Grove Attack - and wondering if maybe the complete statue may have helped a little and plus he just doesn't like her alone out there - Beat is going to set out to the North to the Burnt Village, avoiding the memory of sinkholes and vines (which he may shiba scream at) and go about... well.
Kidnapping Beiwe.
He has to bulk up to do it, he's strong but he's never kidnapped a stone statue before, and frankly, she's tall. It prolly looks fucking ridiculous when he waddles his way back into the Grove with the top half, because she's about six fucking feet, and while he's nearing nine in his bulked up mode, she's... fucking heavy. And unwieldy. And her base may be dragging a little on the ground between his legs, as he pants and carries her like a toddler dragging a cat. Or a dog dragging it's favorite bed.
He will stop to rest at one point at the grove to village cross-over point, tail wagging enthusiastically as he puts his elbow on her head and rests there for a moment. He's talking amiably to her though, around his panting!]
Don' worry, I'll getchu set up right here an' you'll look awesome, yo. Jus'- jus' gotta get you there. Damn, yo. Yer heavy. UH, not sayin' it rudely, like bein' bulky is good to be!! But, bruh... Oogh I think I need water...
[Help.]

That, and moving it might make something else interesting happen.
Beat seems to have taken it upon himself to move it, though. Even bulked up as he is - and my goodness, that size is intimidating - he seems to be having some trouble. At this latest complaint, he lets out a sigh, gesturing with one hand at the statue.]
You know, I'm happy to give you a hand if you need a break. If it's really that heavy, all you're going to do is hurt yourself.
no subject
[The no is barked, aggressively, in Josh's directly and Beat clings to the statue like he might snatch her away. The reason is very clear in his mind, and Josh will have no issue reading those thoughts. Josh is to sit his pretty ass down and look pretty, and Beat is to impress!!
Big boy!! BIG STRONG BOY!! Not husband but.]
You jus' SIT THERE, yo!!!
no subject
but mostly she's confused as to what the fuck she's looking at right now. that is... a dog person (yikes) in the burnt town. with... a very large statue? and a lot of jewelry hanging off of it. where did that even come from. who are these people? what the fuck. )
... What.
no subject
What what, yo?
[Sniffsnortsniff goes the nose. Oh that direction smells like Pure Vanilla's therapy office in Ryslig. Lavender and vanilla. Tail begins to wag again. Hello. He is a good boy. Whose there.]
no subject
Where'd you even find this?
( josh is getting politely ignored right now. sun goddess is more important. )
no subject
[He gestures in the direction he'd just come, and Fel can see he's been dragging the statue for a bit. From the Center of the Village, after all.]
Her names Beiwe! She's the Warrior Goddess of the Sun or Something, I forgot what her note thing said. Sorry, Beiwe. Lady Beiwe.
[Beat's tail is now wagging at a mere 100 wags per second.]
We fixed her up a few days ago but man, you know, that shit sucks up there an' she deserves to be down here.
no subject
( good lord though, that's... a distance. she leans over to look behind him and then back at the statue. )
You're going to break your back like this, dude.
no subject
[When she says he's going to break his back, he snorts and his ears go back. Not angrily though, which is easy to tell, as his tongue is just dangling out the side of his mouth which is still wide open. He... he flexes.]
No way! I'm super strong!
[His legs are killing him, Pinky.]
no subject
( she brings her hand to her chin in thought before she glances over at beat again, and... holds the hand out slightly before lifting, pink sparkles swirling around the statue subtly. )
Every titan has it's limits. Let me help.
no subject
[Beat >:('s to show how tough it is, then blinks to the sparkles suddenly around the statue. It's a good thing she mentioned helping or Beat's hackles would be up. Instead he just ponders it and steps back a bit, tail wagging.]
Sure, if you wanna! I gotta get the pestelstall anyways, yo, so uh... can you take her as far as you can? I dunno where to put her yet but!
[With that, Beat turns on his heels and runs - yes runs - back in the direction of the burnt village.]
no subject
But when the sparkles appear around the statue, and Beat lets go of it and accepts this stranger's help, his expression flattens, unimpressed.]
I'm right here, you know.
[Of course, he knows exactly why Beat was doing it. But still! He's RIGHT HERE. He knows he's an acquired taste, but he isn't chopped liver!
And then Beat runs off, leaving the two of them there, and he huffs out a sigh.]
And there he goes...
no subject
( no she isn't. well. she is. but that has nothing to do with it at all and they both know it. )
Where were you hoping to bring her?
no subject
I'm not entirely sure. Back to the Grove proper, but the exact positioning is still up for debate, I think.
[From the leather bag looped over his shoulder and hanging at his hip, a tiny pink nose emerges, snuffling the air. A moment later, a tiny voice follows, a brief but surprised exclamation of "Oh!".]
no subject
( still, this is heavy even for her magic, so she'd rather get moving. but after only a few steps, there's another unfamiliar voice and she has to pause and investigate-
... that sure is a baby. )
... Hm?
no subject
Followed by a very loud pissed off: IT WAS SCREWED ON?!
He'll be a bit longer don't worry.]
no subject
It's as good a spot as any. It can always be moved again later if we find a better spot.
[But the tiny voice catches his attention now, and he looks down. ... ah. Someone has awakened.]
Hmm. Feeling better, there?
"A little... What is that?"
[The rest of the face emerges from the leather bag. It's a tiny white hedgehog.]
no subject
AS OPPOSED TO WHAT?
(
anyways. she's here to be a boss bitch, yes, but that is a wholeass baby and she is immediately charmed- except...
huh.
she's a powerful witch but she isn't a "commune with animals" sort, most of the time. she's not supposed to understand the baby. if she wasn't so focused on moving the statue with care, she would lean in to investigate. )
Who's your friend?
no subject
But, you know, a hedgehog.]
This is Revati. He was here to greet me when I first showed up. He's a little sick, though, so I figured I'd bring him with me.
[Revati's nose twitches, and his expression is alert, but otherwise he doesn't seem to move much. He never seems to move much.
But he's looking right at Fel.]
"Ah. A star..."
no subject
( curious! and adorable. a little sick, huh? it does feel a little... weak. but it looks like he's in good hands, they can keep going-
wait what. felicity freezes, looking right a revati, eyes wide. )
... Whatch'a mean there, bud?
no subject
[But is he going to elaborate? Absolutely not. Enjoy that.
The little hedgehog snuffles his nose against the air, but closes his eyes. Almost like he's settling in for a nap. He's still weakened, and even being this active is exhausting.]
"You... You are a star, aren't you? You feel... mm."
Well. Isn't that interesting? I didn't know you could understand him.
no subject
( her voice trails off and she glances away for a moment, because things are starting to click into place. she's always known she isn't human but- she'd always thought it was just her magic. one more thing marking her as different. )
... A star, huh. It would make sense.
no subject
Josh gently rubs Revati's cheek with the side of his thumb, then moves to tuck him safely back into the satchel. Take a nap, buddy.]
Well, congratulations on your diagnosis. We should probably have our life-changing revelations as we walk, though. That statue won't go anywhere otherwise.
[Josh you could at least help-- no. No he won't. His offer to help was extended to Beat, and it was vehemently refused and then someone else's offer was accepted instead, so he is rescinding it entirely. He's a petty bastard.]
Besides. I'm sure Beat will come back from the burned village aaaany second now. It wouldn't do to have a pedestal with no statue, hm?
no subject
It's intact! In fact! It looks like it was the ground it was on that lost the battle with staying together, judging from the little juts of clumped up rock that are pointing from the corners, still clinging to the screws that had been screwed into it.
Beat's huffing a little, trying to hurry to catch up, and seems surprised they haven't moved at all.]
Y'all di'nt gotta wait!
