[For a while, Wolfwood is relegated to the clinic, unable to leave due to needing time to recover from his near-death experience with the Forest immediately after reviving. He can't exactly leave, nor is he going to try to refuse anyone who tries to come visit, whether it be to yell at him for what he did, or just to see him for whatever reason.

Judging by the way he's half-sitting in bed staring away from the door, he doesn't particularly care either way. His missing leg, obvious by the empty space where his leg would be under the sheets, is a permanent eyesore.]

B) Netbook

[Though he has been alive for almost a week, but it isn't until he finally leaves the clinic that he addresses the Grove proper. A simple message in his usual messy scrawl appears in everyone's notebooks.]

[Actually finding Wolfwood to speak to him might be a bit of a harder task. He isn't actually at or around the Church at all right now, seemingly avoiding it for the most part. Not hard to imagine why.

There will be, however, an evening just before sundown proper where Wolfwood will ask Livio to help him out by the river. He won't try to venture any closer to the Grove, keeping on the side of the river where Vash's house is instead.

There he will sit in his wheelchair by the softly rushing water, watching the bio-luminescent seaborn bloop along near the shallows.]

Please. The Forest has tried to kill me multiple times at this point, and nearly succeeded once — I hardly care if it tries again. Something or someone trying to kill me is an average day in Kjerag for me. [Hey king do you want therapy] If you don't mind, I do need to take measurements.

[Gnosis you can't just say "everyone wants me to die" and then follow it up with science.]

[In terms of "the Forest hates us and tried to kill us", anyway. And also just, things killing them in general-

He will pull the sheets back though so Gnosis can get accurate measurements, both of his good and bad legs. The bad stops cleanly at the knee, with the bandaging there thin enough to not interfere with any measurements he'll take.]

[It's a fairly quick, but still arduous, process. Gnosis has to take measurements of the still attached leg from hip to heel, then circumference of thigh, then knee to heel, then heel to toe, and a whole bunch more from there. He asks Wolfwood if he knows how much he weighs, explaining that it's so he can make the correct amount of structural support. He asks for his general shoe size even though he just measured his foot, and if he has high arches or not. A lot of questions that seem unimportant, but are obviously not that.

Why does he know all this medical stuff? Great question he went to college and absorbed everything he could. He may not know how to do surgery, but he generally understands biological sciences, and technology is his thing, and it simply makes sense to combine the two. Especially because, well, Terran.

Eventually, he sits down with his notes and starts sketching in the margins of the page. It looks like a leg.]

[Wolfwood watches, silent, as Gnosis works. For all his grousing with the man, Gnosis truly is brilliant. Pedantic to a fault, perhaps, but he is smart. Wolfwood wouldn't know where to even begin with constructing something like this.]
