Hiii it's Ain!! I have the flu or something haha. I didn't know I could get sick :O

How do you make soup? It's vegetables in water and then you put it in the oven at 500, right?

Aww, and I wouldn't have pegged you for someone so kind~. [This would come out sassier if Ain's voice wasn't raspy as all hell.] I'll eat anything as long as it tastes good, so beef is fine.

[Luca practically hisses it, brows furrowing. Not that Ain can see, since he's keeping his back to the other man. No way is he going to let anyone see his fluster, thanks. As long as he pretends that he's busy with the soup, Ain won't suspect otherwise.]

Good. It should be ready before long. I just need to... remain focused.

[Does he feel a little bad that the ailing Ain is forced to sit on an uncomfortable dining chair while he works? Maybe. But it's better than Ain burning a house down soooo...]

[He super will not know otherwise. He's too sick to be perceptive right now, and even then, he doesn't know Luca as well as he knows the rest of his party back home; he can read them like open books. Not so much the people here. Give him another two months.

That said, he's just going to lay his head on the table and close his eyes for a few minutes, since Luca needs time to focus here. You know when your body is sick and it just goes "shut down all processes including being awake", yeah, that's where he's at, though he won't have time to fall asleep. At least the scent of soup keeps him up!]

[Luca keeps the pot on a boil only long enough for the vegetables to soften. Is it going to be the best, most flavorful soup in the world? Probably not. BUt it'll help sustain poor Ain while he's half out of his mind with sickness. Besides, he doubts the other man will be particularly picky, and that was begging the question that he had a sense of taste at this point, too.

All that is to say, around 10, 15 minutes later, Luca returns to the table. He sets a hot pad down before letting the pot come to rest. He disappears only for a few seconds, fetching dishware and cutlery before opening the pot and spooning Ain a hearty serving.]

Here. Your weird soup.

[Yay, weird soup! Ain sits up (slowly, less energetic than he would normally) and takes a few slow bites. The man looks like he's sleepwalking at this point, but after maybe a minute...]

It's very weird soup. [He's realising that at least one of these ingredients is Not Correct, but he doesn't know how to cook, so???] Thank you, Mr. Bartender, you're so nice.
