I'll be okay. There's a path to wherever I'm going. So- maybe it's just that I need to be somewhere specific, but- you guys can still visit. I don't know.

( fuck. she should have used magic to sneak out, because she can't handle this. she feels like she's going to cry and she hates it. )

[All this confirms what he's thinking. He nods.]

[It does occur to him suddenly, that she's a star and that where she's going might be a star shrine or something like that. Maybe she's being called to help them...? He hopes it's something like that and not something sinister actually but-]

[He pulls himself together and hands her a small stack of photos. They're photos from around the grove. She's in some of them! But there's also a few of just people she likes and knows. There's photos from the beach, and cookie house, stuff like that.]

I don't have very many since I still have like a ton of film to get through but- take these.

[He takes a deep breath, looking up at her again.]

Photographs are like memories. Wherever you go- it could be through the woods, or into another world, the ocean the sky- if you can take these with you, then, maybe it will keep these memories alive for you.
