[ Oh, hi Clive from the bathroom. Their room really is pretty small, isn't it. ]

... yes, whenever you wish it. We have not yet begun on anything too time-consuming.

[ He doesn't like the thought of having to rush it, particularly when, like Will, he's keenly aware of how sensitive internal organs are. There's a good chance it could go badly if they aren't careful. ]

[He snorts at Clive from the bathroom]

Well, we should all finish our drinks and drains and if anyone's hungry do that first.

I will forego eating, I think, just to be on the safer side.

[ Working on the stomach, and all.

But tea shouldn't hurt. So he's going to make a move to add sugar to his, while they wait. He's adept at drinking it while it's still hot. ]

[ There's not much waiting left, he comes back out drying his hands, the towel getting tossed back inside when he's done. Joshua can kill him later for that, but it's not important right now. He's thoughtful as he moves to begin grabbing his gear for the day, sitting down to begin tugging things on. ]

I should be fine, I haven't been using any magic, so progressing the curse shouldn't be a worry.

[Will starts blowing on his tea as well, deciding to stick to black- he'll want the sharp bite right now]

Good idea.

[he glances at Clive]

Might as well be comfortable. Unless you think we're gonna be attacked by beasties during.

Is there a chance this could be uncomfortable for him?

[ Just. A thought. He really doesn't know. This is all unknown territory for them - this sort of cure doesn't exist in Valisthea. And if it does advance his curse... ]

[ He huffs at Will telling him to be comfortable, a little crooked smile on his face. ]

I'm most comfortable dressed up.

[ But he will leave off the heavier things, the gauntlets, the greaves, the chain mail he usually places under the vest. The cloak as well. So he's dressed but not dressed up. And his brow furrows to Joshua's concern. ]

I didn't really feel it when I returned the blessing to you. It was sort of an ache, like a missing tooth, but it was quick to shift.

[He listens to Clive, nodding]

I don't think it will, assuming aether and prana are the same thing like we have been. If the blessing didn't I doubt this would. At worst he might be tired like I was?

[ Joshua nods. That's... good. The plan has his approval, then. ]

All right. But if there is any strong discomfort from you, I'd like to stop.

[ Not that he expects Clive to say if he's feeling anything. ]

I'll let you know if there's any on my end.

[ Maybe. The three know he probably won't, but surely it's the offering that counts? He's worried about Will most of all. ]

If any of you feel discomfort, speak up.

[He looks to Joshua, eye twinkling]

If his breathing spikes I should be able to hear it.

[Calling Clive out a bit. But also a promise as their caregiver in this: he's taking it seriously]

Hmm, let's pull chairs close. The bed is too small for all three of us.

[ That's a relief. Joshua smiles at that little twinkling. ]

Good.

[ If there's discomfort on his own end... well, it should be fine. It's to be expected. And no progress will be made if he stops all the time.

But it's good to know that Will is taking this seriously. Not that he doubted he would. He sets his tea aside, moving to retrieve one of the chairs. ]

How close? Side by side?

I feel like I'm being ganged up on.

[ Because he is, but it merely makes him sigh and shrug, moving over to slide chairs as close to the bed as possible, frowning thoughtfully. ]

Close enough to touch, I would guess?

Right. Close enough I don't have to stretch but doesn't have to be knee to knee or anything.

[ once the seating is settled he holds out the moon stone for Clive to see]

You were still asleep when I showed this to Josh, but it's a moon stone. Ourania said it will help with my healing magic. Did some practice with Pure Vanilla in flowing aether into it and back out.

[ As the chairs are slid into place, he gently places a hand on Clive's shoulder, with a tiny little smile. ]

Oh, we would never gang up on you, brother.

[ Except they are. But it's out of love. And, while Will shows Clive the stone: ]

Will, do you want me in the middle or on the end?

[ Clive ... looks at the rock. He fully expected a moonstone to look more like something from back home. This looks like Will dug up a lump from the ground. He guesses like unpolished ore or a gem lode but. Well. ]

Yes you would. And I'll take your word for it, it looks like a stone to me.

[ Like something you found outside, Will, settling himself down in one of the chairs. ]

[To Joshua:]

Hmmm... middle, ya.

[Then to Clive:]

Don' look at me like a hound that just dug up a bone to show you. It came flyin' down from the sky right at me!

[ Middle, then. As he expected, but it's always good to be certain. As they bicker about the stone, he takes the middle seat, laughing softly. ]

I can feel some sort of power coming off of it. It feels genuine. Like a crystal, in a way, but different.

Stones sometimes do, when they're lobbed. Are we sure someone didn't just throw one at you?

[ He makes room so Joshua can sit in the middle, then reaches out to hold out hand out for the stone to Joshua's comment.

Whatchya bring me, boy? ]

[He gasps, putting a hand to his chest in dramatic insult]

Who would ever throw a rock at me? Too charming an' handsome to take a sling to the teeth!

[he plops the potato into Clive's open hand regardless- it's lighter then one would expect, and slightly warm]

Hm.

[ He takes the rock to eyeball it. Like Joshua he can feel the power in it, it feels like if he was touching someone he could drain an Eikon from. The signature is unlike any Eikon, however, and he hands it back. It felt almost like touching Ultima. Divinity. ]

All right. How do you use it?

I'm still learning it, but so far I've been able to flow prana into and out of it- it makes it slightly stronger. So perfect for this, yeah?

[ Oh, that should work yeah, so he nods and settles in. ]

Got it. Do you thing, doctor.

H-hey...

[He blushes, ears pinning but tail wagging. Embarrassed but not un-pleased]

None of that.

[He takes the stone back, focusing on it. Is glows softly. His lips move, mumbling a bit as he sends prana into the stone- a much more subtle and careful version of the cursebreaking he used last time, actually woven into a spell this time. Then hands it back to Clive.]

Okay, now touch him and focus like you would when you passed the Blessing. I'll handle the rest.

[ He'll prolly get kicked for that but it's worth it, a little grin on his face, before he reaches out to touch his brother's hand, taking it to hold it.

He closes his eyes to focus. It was easy with the Blessing, that was simply handing back over something that belonged to Joshua to begin with. It was already pulling to go home. This is different. He reaches out to his brother like he would have if he was searching for the Phoenix to take it, and has to stop the very eager desire in him that demands he do just that. Take it. Consume it. Become whole. Rip it from him and-

He grimaces a little and settles that, instead simply tries to wrap his aether in with his brothers. Like when Phoenix and Ifrit merged. ]
