( chung hums in thought but tries to stay focused. they aren't out of the woods yet... literally.
and it's a good thing he focuses because the stone rapidly pulls itself back together, scraping loudly against the dirt and underbrush as the pieces coil and move from where they'd been scattered.
it's the gleam of the gemstone eyes out of the corner of his eyes that really tells him how much danger he's in, and he only narrowly leaps into the air before stone fangs clamp around where he used to be. a second jump to elevate himself further, and he whips the destroyer back around to aim-- )

[ It's growled out as he also dodges back, watching Chung... leap into the air. Oh, like a Dragoon. ]

[ The air will grow icy quickly as Clive gestures and sends a rush of freezing air forward towards the snake, but Chung will find that while he can feel the chill, it's not painful. The snake, however, will quickly be covered in thick ice crystals, slowing it down until it stops in spot. ]

he opens fire, eight 'arrows' (they're canon balls.) piercing through the snake's thick body, holy and soothing and fierce all at the same time, helping the water freeze. )

It seems to depend on the method. Scatter their pieces and they come together more slowly, but simply slicing through the stone of them...
