What do people do if they can't protect themselves here? I don't want to be stuck inside all the time, but I don't want to have to rely on other people either.

Before anyone says it, I'm not looking to learn how to fight. With all the weirdness in this place there's got to be some other way.

How sure are you? Protective magic sounds like a good idea from what you've said, but I'd like to know more about it before I decide on anything for certain.

Oh certainly, if you wish to be a dry fuddy duddy like the other white magic users here. Any of them can teach you, surely.
