Netbook; anonymous?
[Sort of. Min's taking advantage of ambidexterity because it's embarrassing to be bad at things. His handwriting is notably different from his usual and probably isn't immediately recognizable to anyone who isn't Ryan.]
What do people do if they can't protect themselves here? I don't want to be stuck inside all the time, but I don't want to have to rely on other people either.
Before anyone says it, I'm not looking to learn how to fight. With all the weirdness in this place there's got to be some other way.

Do you think it's the same power that Ydalir uses then? If your magic comes from inside you it could still be different.

I didn't say it was the SAME, just that it wasn't very different! The magic here appears to be varied enough in it's sources, but those sources are not so different from Earthbread's. Trader's magic appears tied to the land itself, perhaps nature, and likewise celestial magic simply hums around us at all times, no doubt the influence of our ever watchful Goddesses.
Similarly, Earthbread has many schools of magic that pull on many aspects of the world around us, and there are many who use the moon itself as power to wield it! I suspeeect the similar nature of these sources might be why my magic adapts so well to this place! But who know!

It's very hard to deny that he sounds like he knows what he's talking about though, and given the baseline for Min's knowledge here? He's choosing to believe this is informative.]
Earthbread's where you come from?
You're not the only one who's said your magic functions similarly. Someone even said they could teach me. Do you think someone from a world without magic would be able to pick it up just through learning? I don't feel anything.

That's the place! You'll find a fair handful of us from there, really. Whoever is offering to teach you magic, might be from Earthbread, too. [He sees you up there, Affogato.]
You don't feel anything, I imagine, because you've had no reason to look. While aptitude certainly does help, I would be shocked to find you utterly void of even the barest spark. Of course, how would you even know without trying?

I don't know for sure. It just seems strange I could do something like that without being changed when it's not something that exists in my world.

I may not know your world, but as a kazillion-years-old Master of All Things Magical, I just find such an idea quite laughable! Magic is everywhere, kid. Perhaps in your world it merely slumbers.
