Netbook | Can we get a headcount

I know that a ton of people have turned into things that they weren't before, and some of them aren't super recognizable anymore.

Is anyone else concerned about, like, actual wild animals ending up in the mix? I think I'm getting too used to this stuff when I pass a giant goose and don't even question it.

Also, is anyone not accounted for?

I'm not actually sure who's accounted for and who isn't. I've been living in the river and not everyone comes out here.

That does sound pretty dangerous. I don't think I've met any that didn't know who they were still though.

[It is still a disconcerting thought. Particularly for someone who's living out in the wild right now. He's very aware that just because he hasn't experienced something that doesn't mean it isn't happening.]

Yeah. The notebook's cool, but I'm still trying to stay out of danger.

I think she's technically a swan, but she's one of us too. She's okay as long as you don't get too close to her nest.

I didn't actually realize she wasn't until she talked to me though. It's hard to tell in this place.

That's what I mean, though, we should probably pay attention in case something turns out to be NOT one of us.

You're right. If you see the swan again she's cool, but it's definitely better to be careful.

Somehow, yeah. Guess I got lucky. Then I heard about it and now I'm being very very careful where I step.

I got caught up before word got out. I actually like being a merman, but I got pretty lucky. I wouldn't have taken that chance if I'd know what was going on sooner.

Make sure you are too. It doesn't look like there are any guarantees on what you turn into if you step on one of the mushrooms.

Then again, something's been tearing apart garbage? I flew over one that had like, big bitemarks in it. Maybe someone's a raccoon?

Yeah probably mostly raccoons. Either that or, I dunno. Regular delinquents are getting creative maybe?

I haven't seen any delinquents here. There are some people who talk a big game, but I've seen zero vandalism, muggings, break-ins, thefts or murders since I've been here.

No clue what a vol de mort is other than like falling off a cliff or a plane crash, but there's waaay better "mort"s out there.

But yeah, if people aren't doing it then it's gotta be a raccoon or some other animal. Kinda weird it wasn't happening before though?

how would you know from the sky, though? you'd have to actually investigate too.

because I'd see them before they see me, duh! I wouldn't be like AIRPLANE high but still totally out of reach and I've been like this almost a month without losing my glasses even once!
