Netbook | Can we get a headcount
Steph here.
I know that a ton of people have turned into things that they weren't before, and some of them aren't super recognizable anymore.
Is anyone else concerned about, like, actual wild animals ending up in the mix? I think I'm getting too used to this stuff when I pass a giant goose and don't even question it.
Also, is anyone not accounted for?

I'm not actually sure who's accounted for and who isn't. I've been living in the river and not everyone comes out here.
[For someone who's allegedly living in the river the ink sure seems pristine.]

...Do you have your notebook in the water?

[It is still a disconcerting thought. Particularly for someone who's living out in the wild right now. He's very aware that just because he hasn't experienced something that doesn't mean it isn't happening.]
By the water, but I could. Ydlir helped me out so I wouldn't be totally cut off.

Hey if you're in the river have you seen the giant goose?
no subject
I think she's technically a swan, but she's one of us too. She's okay as long as you don't get too close to her nest.
no subject
I just walked straight by and realized later, hey, I should probably be questioning that sort of thing
I didn't know swans came in black
no subject
I didn't actually realize she wasn't until she talked to me though. It's hard to tell in this place.
no subject
That's what I mean, though, we should probably pay attention in case something turns out to be NOT one of us.
no subject
Have you managed to avoid turning into anything?

no subject
Yeah. It's kind of fun.
no subject
but like don't get eaten out there
idk what all lives in our lake
no subject
Make sure you are too. It doesn't look like there are any guarantees on what you turn into if you step on one of the mushrooms.

Then again, something's been tearing apart garbage? I flew over one that had like, big bitemarks in it. Maybe someone's a raccoon?
no subject
Monster raccoon
Raccoon hippogriff?
no subject
[Steph what even IS that? He starts doodling his best guess in the margin though - a normal hippo with a black raccoon mask. He just throws the "griff" part out entirely.]
no subject
[ She doodles beautifully spread wings onto the hippo. That should be plenty. She doesn't remember hippos being any part of a hippogriff, anyway. ]
no subject
Yeah probably mostly raccoons. Either that or, I dunno. Regular delinquents are getting creative maybe?
no subject
Not counting Forest Voldemort
no subject
But yeah, if people aren't doing it then it's gotta be a raccoon or some other animal. Kinda weird it wasn't happening before though?
no subject
... ]
not important
what I'm saying is we probably shouldn't let our guard down, you know?
no subject
[It's for the best. If she doesn't know French he would have had to explain it anyway.]
but yeah, you're probably right. I can keep an eye out? I'm kind of a bird person right now so I have like, a great view.
no subject
[He has absolutely laughed at very similar jokes when Ryan's made them before, but Steph doesn't need to know that.]
no subject
[Yes he does. He has absolutely made some variant of this joke in front of Min-Gi before.]
no subject
how would you know from the sky, though? you'd have to actually investigate too.
no subject
[Can you tell he's proud of himself??]

"Is that a person who looks kind of like a cat acting like a person, or is it a giant monster cat acting like a giant monster cat?"
And like, yeah? I think I can probably figure out that part at least.
