Status Update: Starting this month, Mizuki is going to have small white leaves "sprouting" from his hair. There's not a ton, and only hardly noticeable, but they're there. Whether or not you want your character to notice or not is entirely up to you~!

[ Mizuki starts to calm himself down a bit, and succeeds in doing so for the most part. He waves away some of the blueness of his cheeks. It's okay. It was just a mistake, and he apologized, and Elsword isn't mad. This doesn't need to be anything more than that. Mizuki can just swallow that down and never ever ever ever think about this ever again. Except he knows he's going to, so he'll have to find a different solution. Stop talking to Elsword? He doesn't want to do that, either. That would be worse than being obsessively attached to him and making both Elsword and Add end up hating him, actually.

And he thinks he's doing a good job of this, until Elsword catches up and asks for the bathhouse. They just shared a kiss and he's-- no. He's just offering something that makes sense. Mizuki had just said they needed to clean up, and they do HAVE a bathhouse, but… everything aches? He doesn't like this, actually. Elsword isn't teasing him, but it feels like he is. Elsword is being thoughtful, but somehow also completely thoughtless at the same time. So what do you intend to do?

Feelings are hard, aren't they? It's no wonder We Many is confused by them so constantly. Maybe being a purely instinctually being has it's perks, too.

Mizuki stares at Elsword for a moment, trying to contemplate what to say. He wants to. Both to get clean, and because he does want to keep spending time with him. It's not a good idea, though, and he's aware of this. Then again, it's not like he'd be seeing much of Elsword he hasn't already seen - the boy hardly wears clothes as is. (Mizuki's the same way, really.) He can see the scars and his skin, and most of the definition of his muscles, and… that bite mark on his shoulder. It's not his. Add seemed against it when they talked, too, so he doubts it's his.

Someone else isn't allowed to claim our things. Elsword isn't his, though. Neither is that doctor, yet you still bit him.

Sorry, Elsword. Between Mizuki's overwhelm and that, he doesn't answer. He simply stops in front of Elsword and sinks his teeth right into that bite mark to leave his own there instead.

Should've just taken the gifts and left him alone, buddy- ]

[Mizuki may or may not have seen Ain hanging off of him earlier in the month... like literally hanging off of him, arms around his neck and just dangling. Maybe he'll be able to pinpoint just who that old bite came from. (He has no idea where the angel wandered off to; probably draped around Ezell still? He's been a little weird about that guy.) Elsword doesn't think much of it; all of his friends bite him. Eve bites him and gaslights him about biting him, Ciel and Raven have bitten him before, Noah and Laby commonly bite the nearest thing they can find, Ain is usually constantly trying to chew a hole into him. To Elsword, this is all normal shit. It... says a lot about his patience that his reaction to biting is "oh yeah that happens" (it most certainly does fucking not, just like random kisses simply do not "just happen").

So. Mizuki stops him, and Elsword glances down at him like "?" as if he's expecting Mizuki to say no, he's good actually, he's gonna go fill the river with paint and piss off the River Guardian who is just Doing Its Best...

And then Mizuki clamps down over that old bite, and there's a renewed sting there, flesh being pierced. Mizuki's teeth are a lot sharper than Ain's (don't tell him he'll get jealous), and whereas Ain has to actually physically bruise his skin to actually get his canines buried in there... Mizuki does not. Mizuki has carnivore teeth, and it's so easy to flawlessly puncture through an old wound and make a new one right over it.

For what it's worth, Elsword doesn't have much of a reaction other than—]

Ow.

[—and he slightly flinches, patting Mizuki's shoulder with his paint hand again.]

...is that a no? [dude.]

[ Well, at least Mizuki pulls away soon after the initial bite. He even spits out what little liquid had made it into his mouth because most of it ended up being paint. Uuuugh. ]

Okay, don't... eat the paint in there. It's not good. [ Yeah, no one intended to eat the paint, Mizuki. ] ...Ah. That... That's going to... [ Sigh. ] Sorry, I- We have to clean that before it gets infected.

[ How does he explain himself here? He doesn't want to. He doesn't care if Elsword gets mad, Mizuki thinks he kind of deserves it at this point. And yet, he's still grabbing Elsword's hand to quickly drag him over to the bathhouse.

Assuming there's no resistance, he's going to look around the bathhouse when they get there for something to use to pour water over Elsword, gesturing to one of the baths. ]

I'll fetch you bandages after we get it clean.

[Imagine biting a man and having to clean the paint out of his wound. Smh.

There's no resistance, though, and Elsword follows along like a loyal hound until they get there. Once they're in the male side of the baths, where it seems to be just them (makes sense; everyone else here seems pretty private), Elsword makes for one of the basins full of warm water and starts stripping down. The rest of him is not as covered in paint, or so he thinks, but then he takes off his pants and ah yeah the paint has soaked through the fabric. Neat.

He's careful with his shoulder as the shirt comes off, too, since it's raw and he's trying not to, y'know, get additional gunk in there. And it also hurts. You know how it is.]

You don't really have to bandage it, [he starts, whenever Mizuki comes back,] since it's in kind of a weird spot for it and all.

[He can also just heal it, but he's learnt from being bitten by Ain specifically that the Biters™ usually like to see their bite marks preserved?? So. Respecting Mizuki here (Elsword get standards) he's not doing that at all (ELSWORD YOUR STANDARDS).]

[ Okay, stop it. He gives his cheeks a little plap again before he's dragging himself over to Elsword. Mizuki's poncho and shoes come off, but he is NOT undressing anymore than that. Mostly because his clothes are water-ready all the time, but also just because he needs to be clothed incase he needs to scurry away in a hurry from Elsword because the embarrassment is just too much.

But uh. Hey. Nice ass, bro.

Mizuki takes a nearby rag to first gently dab some of the paint away without smearing it into the wound. Then he's just fully going to dump the bucket of water onto his head and shoulders (but NOT his knees and toes). ]

I could still try. You really shouldn't be showing it like that, anyway. [ Possessive feelings are entirely overcome by the guilt he feels. He doesn't want Add to see this and get mad, even if Ain started it!! ]

[Elsword and his bubble butt and muscular thighs are not paying attention to where Mizuki's eyes have wandered, honestly. He just sits down in the bath just as Mizuki starts to clean the paint out of the wound. A horrible thing to have to experience, truly.

And then, y'know, he gets dunked on (loser) and immediately shakes his hair out like a golden retriever.]

...yeah, maybe. It would help keep stuff out of it.

Mmh… If it scars, I… [ Sigh. ] I'm sorry. I was just real overwhelmed. I know that ain't a very good excuse.

[ Mizuki takes the rag and makes sure the wound is totally cleaned before he finally gets in the water, with his stupid swimsuit top and boy shorts. He is pointedly Not Going under the water and hoping that the steam from the water is good enough to keep Elsword decent like this is some kind of ecchi anime. ]

I didn't mean to ruin today like that.

[Look at him, he's been put through a fucking blender. ...okay don't look at him, listen, there's a lot of steam in here and he's actually in the water, but if Mizuki wants to avoid the E rating on this thread...

Anyway, Elsword wets his hands and starts scrubbing the paint from under his fingernails.]

And you didn't ruin the day. I had fun throwing paint at your face, heh. And I'm gonna use that campfire thingy all the time.

Anyway, Mizuki definitely doesn’t want this to be weirder than it is. Elsword is going to bathe and Mizuki is going to ??????? Become water. He’s staring up at the ceiling and slumping down. Maybe the heat from the water will clean him because he certainly isn’t trying. ]

I just… wanted you to feel some normalcy again. And I feel bad about making you feel bad, which made it worse… that’s why I didn’t hand you the gifts personally.

I don't think I'm ever gonna feel "normal". There's always something going on in my head, isn't there?

[Between the forest making him hallucinate and the fact that the El has his brain in a chokehold and also everything going on in this place in general...

It's okay. You don't have to feel bad. I really do like the gifts, but you don't have to feel like you're making anything up to me. They can be gifts just because we're friends.

[ Mizuki continues to slump until he’s just underneath the water entirely. Pointedly, he continues to look at the ceiling and not at the very indecent Elsword.

When he speaks again, though, there’s something different. The most noticeable is that it sounds like there’s no source — like his voice is suddenly all around instead of coming from him. It’s echoey, and less speaking and more melodic than his normal voice. It’d be quite charming if there wasn’t something vaguely off putting about it. Something… ominous? Or perhaps, just a little unsettling? ]

If you’re sure… I just… I keep messing things up.

["Ominous" "unsettling" these are not words Elsword uses to describe shit that's cool as hell, thanks, and instead of answering the very blatant insecurities, he leans forward and probably manspreads extremely badly and tries to see if he can see Mizuki through all the steam and rippling water.]

How are you doing that thing with your voice?

[If he presses his ear against the water (why is he like this) can he hear it Louder]

[ Mizuki continues to stare at the ceiling, especially when Elsword leans forward. But, at least instead of being self-pitying, he's amused by Elsword's interest. He can hear Elsword fine - not great, just fine - since his hearing is made to be sensitive so he can listen underwater like this. ]

It's an Aegir thing. We used to live in the water, so of course we needed a way to speak to one another. It's not exactly something I can explain "how," though, just the "why" it is.

It's really cool. If I talk underwater, I sound like I'm drowning.

[ He reaches just his arms out of the water and sets them on Elsword's cheeks... and then squishes them together. ]

[ Mizuki laughs enough for the both of them. It's a shame he can't kiss Elsword again, when he's being this cute. He pokes his head out of the water, returning to the usual voice as he does. ]
