So... has anyone else forgotten their birth date since arriving here.
... This may or may not have been the second year in a row, if I am honest.
It would not bother me so much, but given the circumstances
It feels a little silly.

That is more or less what I am trying to figure out.
Though I am not sure which answer I would prefer at this point. It would be nice to know if it was not my fault for forgetting something that important.
But it would also add to our troubles, were that the case.

I suppose so. There is enough commonality between the shared months and seasons, as well as similarities in holidays, that I have always had a rough idea as to the time of year.

Yeah, I think mine passed without realizing it. I've also noticed that trying to track time in this place is pretty weird, too.

I've asked around about this and I've been told it has something to do with the nature of the forest.

I suppose I should not be so strict as to not remember the exact date. But even still, the seasons should have been an indicator that it was around that time.

Due to arriving in this place at an altogether different time of year than when I left my own world, I hadn't even thought about mine until recently. Surely the date has passed by now, without me even realizing it.

You make a fair point. Autumn was just taking root when I left home, only to find myself in the grip of winter here. I suppose that means I missed the date by default, then. That much could be forgivable, but two years in a row without a spare thought...?

I suppose with all that has happened to us here, it is not strange to forget about such things.

Though, the simple solution to this is to celebrate two years worth of birthdays now, so that we will be caught up for your next one.

What would you consider someone's actual age if there was a difference of a few seasons between their previous home and arrival here? When according to the calendar, the birthday would have come and gone, but taking into account the true amount of time someone has been alive... [hi, luca, meet overthinker: the boy. you probably know one just like him. :)]

It depends on the amount of time, I suppose. For me, the difference between my home and here was nearly an entire season — I missed the bulk of Autumn, and thus my birthdate somewhere in there. To be honest, I just... rounded up and went from there.

So, to be clear. When I departed my home, I was 23. When I finally realized the discrepancy, I just figured it would be easiest to estimate higher, putting myself at 24. Having been here nearly two years, and having just past that day, it would put me at 26 now.

The fact that I have to try, though... That makes me uneasy.
