[ so if you happen to glance at your notebook at some point you might catch some writing, very very NICE writing (like someone that probably practices calligraphy, though it's slightly shaky) popping up.

First are a series of numbers that might be recognizable as measurements? Size-wise it's a decent sized space. In fact, it's a very estimated yard-age of the Grove. Then: ]

12 buildings + 1 across the river
various states of repair
no apparent defenses outside the fog wall/forest itself
river seems to be clean enough as a water source. various washed up debris?

[And here, have the beginnings of a map forming! Looks like someone doesn't realize this is a communication device, oops]

[And if anyone goes out looking for the mysterious writer they will find a tall man in full armor walking around taking notes like a fricken OSHA inspector?? If you were there when he arrived you might recognize him as they angry yelling sword man, but he looks much calmer now. Thankfully]

[ Stickers start popping up on the page. Little moon jellyfish and balloons and small ribbons are now decorating the edges of DC’s notes. ]

[ Well he recognizes that handwriting, when he stops research to check his notebook. He points an arrow to the river and writes a note in his - now much better that he figured out fingers - gentle handwriting. ]

If you fish, the River Guardian requests we return the bones! The well should suffice for water, but if you find medallions they can be traded in for items!

[Okay he embarrassingly probably gives a startled grunt and drops it, so smudges of dirt appear.

...then he remembers what PV told him. Oh right, magic paper. He forgor]

[Thankfully he realized what's happening pretty fast, so the notes get a simple 'thank you' written next to the first one. Helpful!!]

[ He is at least taking a break for this. He ponders DC's map. ]

The School Building [Which Elsword has labeled and where PV currently is. ] is currently in the process of being repaired.

( shes not on the netbook, nor is she out looking for the writer- but they will cross paths regardless, because while she's out picking apples by the river, she'll have to head back to the inn eventually.

notably, she's using magic to carry the basket. which, smart. have you carried a basket of apples? its quite a lot. )

[ There's a vague feeling of unease. Like he's a snow bunny being stalked by a Prowler.

Just going to ignore that and go back to his books HAHA....

[Oh, hello. He certain looks focused, which on his face kinda looks like 'mad']

[it takes long enough that Vanilla can likely convince himself that Cacao simply moved on.

Then maybe 20 minutes later there is the clunk of armor walking down the halls]

don't worry! I wouldn't really mess with your notes! Are you new here?

[ Pure Vanilla is deep within his books again when he hears it. The familiar sound. It's not the first time he's heard it echo such.

But it's the first time it's felt so ominous. Ah, is this how their enemies feel, staring the inevitable Cookie Warrior in the face as he marches closer?

Sheep instinct says to run. Possible hide.

Instead he gets up and moves to the door of the library, opening it to peek his head out... then his staff. ]

Yes. I am Dark Cacao Cookie. It has been a few days, but I was... beginning to grow restless.

[winterfrosting]

[And he will spot Cacao walking around slowly, clearly lost, with some food wrapped up and what smells like the same lemon-aid Vanilla gave him a few days before. He's grumbling to himself, unable to find his friend.]

[purevanillacookie]

[ And that sight makes the ominous feeling vanish in a wave of affection. Witches. And here he said... He steps out of the doorway, hooves clicking on the floor. ]

Dark Cacao Cookie. Here, my friend. Do watch where you step, the flooring gives way sometimes.

[ He'll move to meet him, in fact, so he doesn't go through any of the rotting boards. ]

Ah, there you are. When you said this place was mid-repair I underestimated it's state.... a cookie could become moldy staying here too long.

Thankfully humans don't mold then, hm?

[ He gently takes the wrapped food, and gestures for Dark Cacao to follow him into the library. It's lit with the windows and candles carefully magicked all over. And yes, Pure Vanilla has torn it apart, books everywhere, opened, stacked, notes hastily pinned. ]
