[ Perhaps one might notice that Mizuki's started taking public notes in the netbook. He's dedicated a couple of pages to the cycles of the moon, and which moon was appearing in the sky that night, before the moon even rises. On the backside of the page he tries everyday to dot a black page with spots that are probably supposed to be stars. It doesn't seem random, but it's also hard to make out what it might be for initially.

The morning before the full moon, however, Mizuki circles the date. It's not as if it's a rare event or anything like that, happening roughly once a month and all that, but he does want to try to make a note of this. In the journal, on a new page, he writes: ]

It's a good night to contact the moon goddess, if that's something we still wanted to try! I can get some things to set us up. I recommend napping so you can be awake for later tonight!

[ No information beyond that, like a meeting place or anything like that, though it's likely Mizuki doesn't actually know where a good place to meet is. He doesn't know anything about trying to talk to gods that aren't already in your head, after all.

But he'll be outside by the well when night falls all the same, and he'll patiently wait for everyone to gather, too. ]

[ Cacao is Here, but staying out of the way of the mages. He knows what Vanilla intends to do, and it's ramped up his anxiety to a fever pitch. Even if he was skilled in witchcraft he knows it would be unwise for him to be nearby while he feels like this, his Lightning aligned elemental magicks apt to cause interference if he can't control his emotions.

And he can not control them right now.

Even Oreo can feel it, leaning against Cacao's leg and occasionally mouthing his hand if the cookie gets too in his own head for too long]

Hm.

[ pet pet doggo. But even with the animal trying to distract him, he only stares at either Vanilla or the woods, as if expecting attack from one or the other at any time]

[ Before they get down to the actual seance itself (and after he slips away from Pure’s dad-ing with the sigils), Mizuki will just kinda pop into existence next to Cacao. Rather literally, maybe, as he comes out of his camouflage. Something he has yet to realize scares people, actually. ]

‘Scuse me? [ If he’s not too startled, he’ll even reach up a hand to grab onto Cacao’s sleeve. ] Did you want someone to talk to?

[ You know instead of mouthing to yourself and staring off into the aether— ]

[he startles slightly, touching his sword hilt but thankfully not pulling it. Oreo just wags his tail, making Cacao glare down at the wolf]

You are very bad at your job.

[ hahaha dad is talking to him!!! His tal wags harder. Cacao sighs and turns to Mizuki]

I... do not know if I would be good company right now.

[ Wave at the puppy. What a good boy. He didn’t think to bring any treats… Would he like to eat a tentacle?? Mizuki has quite a few to offer— ]

Oh, that’s okay! I’m not either, so we can be bad company together~. You said “now”, though. Is there something on your mind?

Hmm... yes, I suppose so.

[ he looks towards where the ritual is still being fussed over]

I... worry. About Pure Vanilla Cookie.

[mooninthewater]

…Is there something that needs worrying about??

[winterfrosting]

[He makes a small huff through his nose]

There is ALWAYS something to worry about with that cookie.

[which might seem strange to those here that don't know the seemingly happy sheepman as well as Cacao does]

But specifically... I know he has plans for how to help the gods here that... involve sacrificing something precious to him. I just hope he is prepared for whatever happens.

Give up… something precious to him? I don’t understand. Wouldn’t that make Mister Pure Vanilla sad…?

Likely.

[he doesn't add that he suspects part of Vanilla will be glad to be rid of it too. Doesn't say it both because it would lead to explaining things he doesn't have the energy to, and because it feels like an insult to his beloved. He gets it, but also even thinking it feels deeply Wrong. Both empathy and disgust rolled together.]

But if it will help others he will do it anyway. You see why I worry?

[ Immediately, Mizuki nods. He doesn’t understand a lot of feelings or… social things in general, but out of anything in the world, he understands that the most. Maybe if this were a Mizuki freshly dropped here, he’d put on an excited, fanboy-ing smile and say “sounds like a hero to me!!”

But… ] Elsword is the same. It’s an understandable worry…

Have you tried talking with him about it? Often it seems those types don’t realize how sad they’re making the people they care about when they do things like that…

I did. I was able to acquire some... concessions. But it is difficult to argue when I know he means well. I can not look him in the eye and say he should let others suffer to make me happy. Not when I would not do the same if our positions were switched.

[he sighs. They have their duties, after all]

There is a difference, though, between doing something for the sake of others, no matter the cost, and just being outright self-sacrificing. One usually exhausts all other options, while the other…

Maybe you and Mister Pure Vanilla could come to couple’s therapy! I think I’d do a real good job, you know.

[winterfrosting]

[He starts to nod- Mizuki isn't wrong. Until the mention of therapy which makes him pause]

I... am not familiar with such a thing.

Um... you're not familiar with... therapy? [ He's so worried about everyone. ] It's like... a sort of treatment that's meant to heal something. Be it physically, mentally, or emotionally.
