[ Perhaps one might notice that Mizuki's started taking public notes in the netbook. He's dedicated a couple of pages to the cycles of the moon, and which moon was appearing in the sky that night, before the moon even rises. On the backside of the page he tries everyday to dot a black page with spots that are probably supposed to be stars. It doesn't seem random, but it's also hard to make out what it might be for initially.

The morning before the full moon, however, Mizuki circles the date. It's not as if it's a rare event or anything like that, happening roughly once a month and all that, but he does want to try to make a note of this. In the journal, on a new page, he writes: ]

It's a good night to contact the moon goddess, if that's something we still wanted to try! I can get some things to set us up. I recommend napping so you can be awake for later tonight!

[ No information beyond that, like a meeting place or anything like that, though it's likely Mizuki doesn't actually know where a good place to meet is. He doesn't know anything about trying to talk to gods that aren't already in your head, after all.

But he'll be outside by the well when night falls all the same, and he'll patiently wait for everyone to gather, too. ]

"The Stars tried to join you all in the forest, long ago, to try and offer areas of protection. When they lose power... they simply die. Their protection of the area they claimed fades, their shrines dull and eventually are reclaimed by the earth, and their body recedes into a crystal that is absorbed into the ether unless they choose to solidify their power and spread it as the Star Shards.

As they are in mortal forms kept alive by their magic on the earth, they do not go nova. There are still a few out there at full power, but many are weak from the Fallen Sun's curses."

Hmm. Interesting.

"And I assume he'll be alright, being away from his shrine?" For all that he seems dismissive of many things, he does at least seem to show some concern for this little hedgehog. With Revati safely tucked away, he tips his head back up to Ourania. "What happens if we're able to find more?"

Oh, honey.

"You are his new Caretaker. You, in a sense, are his shrine now. And should you discover more, they will do their utmost to aid you, as star magic contains multitudes- it is a blend of moon and sun magic. In fact, my dear Pommel is keeping one of yours alive in hiding as we speak.

Should they require assistance, I trust that you will show them a similar care. But not all of them will accept being removed from their shrines."

There is. A lot to unpack from that. First and foremost being that he, personally, acts as Revati's shrine now that he's taken the little hedgehog into his care, but he is the king of leaving suitcases packed and just shoving them under the bed, so that's a job for later! The most important takeaway there is that Revati will be fine. Even the fact that more stars can be found can be addressed later.

No, the more immediate need for answers lays in the mention of Pommel. Joshua lifts his eyebrows. "Oh? Who is it that's being kept alive? Or is that a surprise for later?"

"A boy named Prince Seiker... apparently, he had a run-in with the corrupted. Anything more, I do not know. Pommel is strong enough still to communicate with me despite the Fallen Sun doing his best to obscure his crimes to us with the cloud coverage, but it's very limited."

A boy named Prince Seiker. A star named Pommel. Joshua commits those two names to memory, to be added to his notes later. Ourania has already said that she doesn't know more than that, so there's no use in pursuing it now.

Besides, weakened as she is, she probably can't talk for long anyway.

"Do the other stars out there look like Revati? Either in form or in coloration."

"You will find them in celestial colors- that is, white, gold, silver, and blues. Maybe a pink or red here and there. At full power they will have adornments. Revati himself had a little nebula cape when he was younger. They take on the forms of animals primarily, though some, like our Rose Star here, can be human..."

She gestures to Felicity, unaware of how she seems nervous suddenly.

Ah. Well, that's interesting. Joshua glances to Felicity, raising an eyebrow. Plenty of time to unpack that later, but it's an interesting note to pin.

"So, basically, we'll know one when we see it," he muses, glancing down at his satchel thoughtfully. A nebula cape... "It's a good start. Thank you. I'll see if we can't round up some more stars."

"... Pretty much, yes. But my children are darling, and they want nothing more than to help you all. They love mortals very much- the stories you tell about the stars, the reverence for their placements in the sky... though it has been a very long time since mortals could give them this love, it is returned all the same."

With his care for Revati, she's sure he won't disappoint.
