...how about Clive. Has his petrification spread any that you've seen? You know he won't tell me on his own.

[ Well, he's making a pot of tea for both of them - or all, if Clive gets off the couch at any point. Hopefully Will is good with tea. If not, it's easy to get water. ]

Not that I've noticed, but you're welcome to nudge him awake to check, if you like. I certainly won't stop you.

[He digs into his side bag and pulls out a potato sized (and shaped) uncut shiny stone, putting it on the counter next to the cups]

It's a moon stone. Got it from Ouriana herself. Shot right down outta the sky.

[ Oh! All tea preparation is on pause, because Joshua immediately turns to look at it. ]

A moon stone from Ourania...? May I touch it?

[ He won't pick it up unless Will doesn't mind. ]

Will it help, do you think?

Yeah, go for it! She said it's supposed to help with healing magic. Pure Vanilla gave me some tips on focusing with it, but I'm still figuring it out. Either way it might help out with the aether transfers. Can't make it worse!

It certainly cannot.

[ When he lifts it, he does so delicately. It's surprisingly lighter than he expected for a potato-sized rock. And he can feel the energy coming from it, too, like a crystal back at home. ]

How do you use it? Do you hold it and channel through it?

Mmhm. Vanilla said to focus your magic through it rather then trying to use it... whatever that means.

[he's not sure he understands the difference yet. But he was able to flow his prana into it without issue]

[ Ah. He understands. Which makes him hand the stone back, returning to his task. ]

Think of it as tea. Both water and tea leaves have their own properties. You can use each by itself, of course. But if you pass water through tea leaves, the water picks up qualities from the leaves. It's similar, in a way.

Heh, I mean- it sure wasn' clicking for me. But I've always been shite with focuses. So you're smarter than me at least!

Well, it's just a matter of putting it into perspective, I suppose. I've not ever had the need to use a focus, but the concept of it makes sense.

[ Leaves! Into cups! The water is nearly hot enough to brew the tea, anyway. ]

So, do you think that channeling your aether through it might aid in the healing process?

That's the idea! Last time was a bit'a horror show wasn't it? I'd rather not repeat it, even if it worked.

[he turns and spots the pink ears]

...awwww, don' tell me you're not used to compliments?

Probably for the best. Besides, last time, you had my healing to aid you - it's difficult for me to heal myself from serious injury. The last time I needed to, I slept for five years.

Though, the comment makes the flush spread, and he clears his throat, focusing on pouring hot water into the cups. ]

Not... genuine ones, at any rate. When you live most of your life with a group of people that put you on a pedestal...

[ He doesn't move and he doesn't speak, but he's awake now. His eyes are firmly locked on Will's back. He sees that swishing tail, sir.

[ Ignorant of Clive's awakening, Joshua continues to try! To make tea! But Will calling out his blush just makes the blush even worse. It's in his cheeks now. ]

[ his ears tilt towards the sound of Clive's subtly changed breathing. Ah. Fun over. Had he been listening for it specificly?

Maybe a little. He steps back a bit, taking his cup to cover]

[ What-- Oh, Founder. Joshua clears his throat, trying to will the flush away as he turns to look. Clive will not hesitate to tease him for it if he sees. ]

Ah. Clive. Would you like some tea?
