[in the middle of the night, hastily scribbled words come across the netbook with the urgency of someone who really doesn't want to forget something.]

blizzard — cave in the mountains — nearing the peak? campfire dying, supply wagon visible but no one here

important:

sword, snapped, broken glaive stuck in ground

flowers blooming in the snow

glass ball, broken — crystal ball??

tree with unshed leaves

scarf, shimmering thread — looking at this prompted inhuman shrieks in the distance

skull, bestial, tentacles stuck into the eye sockets

orb of light — one of the few sources of warmth in the cold

golden scale, shielding the area from the storm

objects depicting a sun, moon, and half black sun — floating in the blue glow of a staff ending in a dreamcatcher — growing dim — trying to stay lit

[there's a period of time before an addition is added]

Hello— for those who have met me, this is Astrid. I have been known to have prophetic dreams; some straight forward, some less so. This was one of the latter, and I didn't want to forget the details upon waking up.

Unfortunately, I haven't been here long enough to accurately interpret what I've seen. Maybe we can all come together and figure this out? I'm worried it could spell ill fortune.

Mephisto here. I only gave this passing glance. I do not know many of the people here, so if there are things pertaining to them, I would have hard time parsing.

Still, the skull and tentacles definitely sounds like something to do with the Guardian Callan.

Thank you for your help. Can you tell me a little more about Callan, if at all possible?

I know only small bits about him. He can shapeshift, lived at the lake, and collects bones.

That sounds like a reasonable lead, then. With all the people coming in to relate the things I saw to important figures around the Grove, I'm starting to grow rather concerned about implications...

Yes, well, dreams are never overly reliable resources for things like that. I can discern this is about people, but not necessarily what will happen to them.

I assume it's something about the mountains, at least.

Do your dreams tend to be bad omens or are they just letting you know that these people exist? Apparently, you need to meet them, if you needed help with all of this.

They've been warnings for imminent danger as long as I've had them. You're not wrong that I ought to try to meet more of the important figures around here, but I've also only been here a month, so I've been trying to adjust to the situation as best I can.

That's hardly an excuse. If anything, normal response to waking up in an unknown area would be to speak to all the new people to gather information for yourself, da?

It's alright, though. I've been learning rather quickly that not everyone here is that smart.
