[Oh, well, in that case... Passenger will lean down and give the pup a little pat on the head, before holding his hand out to let it sniff him. This is the opposite order of how you should do these things.]

I will admit, I was expecting it to be much stickier.

[Like, it's cake, there's some sticky there... but clearly he was expecting something else.]

Should it get messy, how will you bathe it? Am I right in assuming that water is not the solution?

Beings where we come from are made from sugar and flour- water is very dangerous. For bathing I would use scrubbing with flour and sugar. A little milk for the worst stains, used very carefully.

[The puppy is delighted by the petting, tail wagging]

And, if I may continue my line of questioning, what does it eat? Dogs from Terra commonly have many allergies — grapes, garlic, onions, to name a few — and feeding them food meant for us can be deadly to them.

In the wild they largely eat jelly meat and dough from their prey as well as a mixture of fruit and berries. Our tamed wolves usually are fed dried jellies and occasional biscuits for treats, as well as bits from our hunts. If for some reason we all vanished it would be able to forage from our berry bushes well enough, though I am able to buy jelly meat from the Trader. As well as these.

[He offers the small pouch of treats- it's dry banana chips and roasted cacao beans]

[He will take the pouch, glance into it, and offer the pup a banana chip. Here you go, little buddy!]

I ask because I believe everyone here has a penchant for feeding Rusty table scraps, but as a flesh-and-blood dog, his dietary needs are different. For instance, he cannot have these cacao beans. I would not wish to feed a begging pup something that will make it ill. [Leans down to the pup, whispers:] You may have the grapes that Rusty cannot have. Is this a fair arrangement for you, little one?

I see... it seems beasts here are a bit more delicate.
