I. Notebook Post

Hello, friends!

I've set up a private tent on the beach away from all the festivities and such for any therapy sessions you might require while we're here, since the therapy building cannot be accessed currently. If you don't mind, I set up a little table with a mental health questionnaire on the table nearby. There's a lockbox I put inside the tent where you can leave them, or if you're not comfortable with that you can always turn them in to me personally. I can assure you I won't let anyone else read your answers.

If you have any questions that are personal, you can come see me, just let me know. Any general questions can be asked here, though!

II. Therapy tent

[ As Mizuki said, there's a tent! There's an eye catching "FREE THERAPY" sign above it. Anyone is welcome inside. Mizuki tries to be around as much as possible, and if he sees you going inside when he's out of it, he'll gladly wiggle into the tent himself and sit down with whoever is inside with a smile. ]

[ And Mizuki will be bothering specific people with posts below. This is a threat. :) ]

[ Hi, Gnosis! You're getting a jellyfish blorped into your cabana whether you want it or not. He doesn't seem... concerned, but he also doesn't seem entirely happy either! So, take that as you will.

He gets up after squeezing himself under the door and dusts himself off momentarily before he looks at his Liberi friend. ]

Mister Gnosis? Do you have a second?

[Gnosis is sitting on that pull-out couch with a suspiciously-familiar looking laptop and oh hey Mizuki haha puts that away,,,]

I do. What is it?

[ Hey, Gnosis??? Hey, Gnosis????? What do you have??? What's in your mouth-

Mizuki recognizes the laptop vaguely, but since Kal'tsit doesn't customize her with stickers like Mizuki does, he just figures it's genuinely some corporate laptop unless he gets a closer look at it. So he's safe for now! For laptop prodding, anyway. Not brain prodding, though. ]

I wanted to come thank you for taking the time to fill out the mental health sheet I provided for everyone! Ummm... but... you wrote me a five page essay, Mister Gnosis. And then after all the concerning stuff said that you didn't want an appointment...? I was just making sure you knew that, and didn't accidentally check the wrong box or something...

You're welcome. I thought it might be valuable information for your practice, and I know you've wanted to know more about me. Only Enciodes knows that much, as well as some people who are no longer here for my initial outburst last autumn during that meeting.

[But he's not going to say "Mizuki you're not a therapist" because for once he knows to not be rude. Mizuki is trying so hard, Gnosis sees that, he'll throw himself into the ocean before he hurts Mizuki's feelings.]

Respectfully, I'm thirty-six. I'm not sure if there's anything to heal from when I've held so many grudges for so long.

...I don't think age matters much when it comes to stuff like this? I think that anyone, regardless of age, can benefit from stuff like this. In fact, I think that the longer you hold onto something, the more relieving it is to talk about it.

But, again, I understand if you have your reservations. I just wanna make sure you know I'm here for you and I'm worried...

Ain

[ Whatever Ain is busy doing, he's not longer busy doing it. Rather, he's going to be hoisted up by a few tentacles and simply dragged off to the therapy tent. Mizuki puts a "Currently in Session" sign on the front as he heads inside and sets Ain down. ]

Hi, Mister Ain. Are you doing well? I need to talk to you for a bit.

[He's literally playing with his fucking owldog and then he gets fucking grabbed— Dachie comes with when Ain scoops him last-second. He is otherwise completely fine with being noodled, this has happened before.]

Haha, I was just playing with Dachie. He's been a nuisance. He and Mr. Fluffy have been making tunnels under the sand and stealing.

[ When you get noodled once it's never really a surprise anymore. ]

Mmh... [ Mizuki tilts his head a bit. ] I asked if you were doing well, Mister Ain, not about what Dachie was doing. I appreciate it that you're letting me know about your day, of course, but...

If you don't mind my asking, Mister Ain, do you not know how to answer questions like that or are you just avoiding them?

[Dachie climbs into Ain's lap and licks his chin once they're both seated. Meanwhile... Ain sort of frowns, very briefly, before his smile kicks back in.]

What do you mean? I did answer it, didn't I? I said I was playing with Dachie...

[...yeah, it seems he doesn't understand.]

Not quite. When someone asks "are you doing well?" it's usually trying to gauge how you're feeling and less about the things going on. I've noticed before when I asked you questions about yourself as well, you tended to talk more about the people in your life than you yourself.

Realistically, Mister Ain, I learned more about you personally through the questionnaire you took than anything you've spoken with me about prior. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, generally, but considering it keeps happening, I do worry a bit. How are you feeling? Is everything alright?

[Oh yeah, he remembered saying he'd check out Mizuki for therapy. He didn't intend to go back on that! So, he does fill out the sheet to the best of his ability, trying to be as honest as possible. Though...okay he fudged some of the answers a little. Just a little!!]

[ Mizuki is going to shuffle to the opening to slide a "Session in Progress!" sign out front, and then sit on one of the pillows he has laid out. It's not, like, a fancy tent or anything, but it provides a little more privacy than just sitting by the ocean and telling the world your secrets, so... ]

What's up! How are you doing today??

[Oh, haha, he got right to it, then.]

Another uh, nice beach day, you know.

[It's true the weather here has been kind of abnormally good. But he will shuffle in and find a spot to sit also. He's ...never been to therapy before?? This is all very new.]

How about you? Did you get any new clients?

Mmmh, a few, actually. I think maybe I just needed to keep pestering people. I've certainly learned that it's important that I at least try for the people here, 'cause it seems like there's a lot to talk about.

But, you know, patient confidentiality and all that, so I can't get too into it.

[ He folds his hands in his lap, giving a very soft smile at Dipper. The tent is... cool, actually. There's a very quiet fan that seems to be making sure it's not all that hot in here. ]

And thank you for filling out the form. I really appreciate it. It helps for when we have sessions together.

Haha, I wonder if a lot of people are just not used to the idea being accessible, you know? We have people from some pretty interesting worlds.

That said, we can start... where you feel most comfortable starting! I do have a few questions about the things I read about on your questionnaire, of course, but we don't have to start there. Usually I'll ask... "what things were you hoping to get out of our session today?"

Firstly, hello! [ It IS Livio! Not that he didn’t like Raz — he did! Just… Livio likes hugs so… ] It’s good to see you again. I wanted to come thank you for filling out my questionnaire! I appreciate it so much! But more than that… I wanted to come check on you? I know you put you didn’t want to make an appointment, but is that a hard no, or would you be open to a little convincing??

...ehe. "Fixed". You're not broken, Mister Livio. Even if you might think so - but it's that mentality exactly that therapy helps with. The keyword there being helps. It's not some magic thing that makes all your problems go away or nothin'. It's something to help alleviate some of the emotional burden or help to cope with things on your mind.

If I wanted to fix you, I wouldn't be doing therapy, silly. Most people don't wanna be fixed, though, so I get it.
