[The handwriting is... neat but kind of reminiscent of the chiller font.]
Hello...
I apologize for the inconvenience and you may disregard me as some dust left on an abandoned floor, but if it is not too much trouble I have a few questions.
I heard ...howls in the night, and saw the eyes of ...of something I dare not speak of in the inn windows last night.
What can we do about fortifications to the town- are there...have there been attacks in the past? I have not seen a cemetery here yet, but if the grounds have been disturbed we could invite something sinister. I am very new here, so I would like to know what I should do. To weather another attack by demons, I do not think my heart can take it.

[Suri was 100% fucking with him and probably only he heard and saw these things. Welcome to the Grove, indeed.]

And what's moon magic?

and lunacy. dwbi.
we're still figuring out what this world's moon magic is though, aside from healing and able to halt the corruption

but also a moon witch or moon mage could absolutely inflict madness upon someone if they wanted. i don't like mental spells though so i do Not.

It means that time is weird here, of course!
[This is followed by a cogwheel-shaped smiley face, complete with an eyepatch over the left eye.]
That is to say, its movements are not even predictable to me, nor does it allow me to control more than a few minutes at a time. It is quite inconvenient, really.
no subject
Why are you talking like you can do Time Craft?
And how did you know I have an eyepatch??
[It's the correct eye and everything...]
no subject
You must have personal experience with time travel, then?
Where I am from, a "timecraft" is a vehicle that can travel through time. I have built one myself! However, you seem to be asking about a skill. I am a chronokinetic, yes!
no subject
But how? It's not supposed to be possible.
[Not necessarily denying that they have experience. But still theoretically impossible.]
no subject
Whoever told you that must not have tried very hard! Time travel is not easy, of course, for most people anyway. But it is thoroughly possible.
no subject
That's what the books say. Apparently even pausing time for one second would take so much energy it'd kill a person.

TK's doodle now has a giant swoop of hair. Like, huge. That's entirely too much hair.]
I see! Well, that is not entirely incorrect. Manipulating time is certainly complex enough that you would normally require a time machine of some fashion to do so!
[There's a pause here as she draws an arrow - that somehow manages to look an awful lot like a snaking clock hand - from the words "time machine" to the scissors on her own doodle.]
I, on the other hand, could pause time for much longer without much more effort than thinking of it.
no subject
He stops adding to his own doodle.]
I've never heard of a time machine before.
[Could someone create a device that would alleviate the strain of Time craft on the user? It's kind of an unsettling thought. Personal experience has shown that time is not something to be messed with.]
no subject
[There's a pause here, as Timekeeper considers.]
I could show you one, if you like. Though its function is quite limited here.
[Of course, she might come bother Sif even if he doesn't like. It can't be that hard to find someone with an eyepatch and a wizard hat.]
no subject
He takes a moment to breathe slowly, in and out.]
Ok.
no subject
Ok. I'm fine, actually! Maybe another time.
[they could literally just like. talk to Siffrin, through his brain, in this very moment, but are they going to do that? no☆]
no subject
aaaaaactually you know what? Now is fine!
:)
no subject
↙ Never
███ is fine!

NOW

[...but they know what it's like to be this stubborn, so... fine. here's a handy tutorial beamed directly into Siffrin's thoughts.]
[Stardust you cannot be serious. When has messing with time ever gone right for us?]
[they still won't answer his calls tho!! write in the book like a crazy person if you want to chat!!]

[Loop can refuse to answer all they want, but Siffrin is furiously scribbling over Loop's nonsense with one hand while making the secret fourth handsign with the other to call Loop.]
[I don't want to mess with it! I just want to know what the situation is to make sure nothing does happen!! Which you'd know if you'd just quit being a blinding asshole and talk to me instead of trying to make everyone think I'm crazy!!!]
