Hello...

I apologize for the inconvenience and you may disregard me as some dust left on an abandoned floor, but if it is not too much trouble I have a few questions.

I heard ...howls in the night, and saw the eyes of ...of something I dare not speak of in the inn windows last night.


What can we do about fortifications to the town- are there...have there been attacks in the past? I have not seen a cemetery here yet, but if the grounds have been disturbed we could invite something sinister. I am very new here, so I would like to know what I should do. To weather another attack by demons, I do not think my heart can take it.

as assuring as this DOESN'T sound, there seems to be an incident every few weeks but severity varies further. the patch wolves and the flowers were over a year ago now i'm pretty sure but the last named incident was a few months (assumedly) back. time is VERY weird here so it's hard to give precise dates. at the end of the beach banishment- so just when the lot of you new guys started showing up- there was a more personalized attack in direct response to angering the woods bitch rather than a grove-wide attack as well.

its like everything is stuck and trying its best to get out. moving forward. moving backward. repeating in 15 minute intervals. it was easiest for me to notice because i have moon magic and thus, whenever the moon's out of whack i can tell. harque or timekeeper could probably give you more info but it's genuinely hard to tell what the exact problem is or how to explain it

but also a moon witch or moon mage could absolutely inflict madness upon someone if they wanted. i don't like mental spells though so i do Not.

That is to say, its movements are not even predictable to me, nor does it allow me to control more than a few minutes at a time. It is quite inconvenient, really.

Where I am from, a "timecraft" is a vehicle that can travel through time. I have built one myself! However, you seem to be asking about a skill. I am a chronokinetic, yes!

Whoever told you that must not have tried very hard! Time travel is not easy, of course, for most people anyway. But it is thoroughly possible.

[Weird, Siffrin is Scissors type too. The frown remains, but he goes ahead and adds a big cloak to his doodle with another pair of scissors beside it.]

That's what the books say. Apparently even pausing time for one second would take so much energy it'd kill a person.

I see! Well, that is not entirely incorrect. Manipulating time is certainly complex enough that you would normally require a time machine of some fashion to do so!

[There's a pause here as she draws an arrow - that somehow manages to look an awful lot like a snaking clock hand - from the words "time machine" to the scissors on her own doodle.]

I, on the other hand, could pause time for much longer without much more effort than thinking of it.

[The hair of all thing gives Siffrin pause. It's just...uncomfortably reminiscent of the King, especially with the subject of conversation being what it is. The arrow pointing at the scissors is just confusing, mostly. Are they saying a person's craft type has something to do with it? But he's pretty sure the King was Rock type...

He stops adding to his own doodle.]

I've never heard of a time machine before.

[Could someone create a device that would alleviate the strain of Time craft on the user? It's kind of an unsettling thought. Personal experience has shown that time is not something to be messed with.]

[There's an even longer pause this time. On Siffrin's end, it's filled with a surge of unease and some wild options flying through his mind – immediately running into the woods to hide, maybe, or agreeing just so he can destroy whatever this machine is.

He takes a moment to breathe slowly, in and out.]

Ok. I'm fine, actually! Maybe another time.

[they could literally just like. talk to Siffrin, through his brain, in this very moment, but are they going to do that? no☆]

[Siffrin stares at the notebook for a second, confused and then quickly irritated as he realizes what's going on here. Really, Loop?]
