I. It's a mess I won't make anymore (Open; The Inn)

[ There's a note posted up on the wall of the inn in blue pen. It's neatly written at first, with curly handwriting, but it starts to wobble towards the end. ]

I don't know how to get everyone together, as these sorts of things aren't usually my forte. I suppose I could go to each of you individually, and it's what you all deserve, but I'm not an emotionally strong sort of person. For that alone, I'm sorry.

I want to apologize to those of you affected by the hallucinations of the flowers. I should've handed out antidotes to all of you before anything like this happened. I should've been more careful about the toxins. I should've done a lot of things.

[ You may catch him in better spirits later, though. He's happily applying stickers to the doors of people he knows with some sort of association he has with them. He has a variety of them, so it's not hard to match colors or themes or whatever else he sets his little heart to.

His own door is smathered with blue stickers and ocean waves. He's also spelled out "M I Z U K I !" with blue stickers, too. Maybe you'll confront him mid-stickering your door or someone else's door? Maybe you saw the stickers and just sort of knew… ]

III. And in the times that I wish I was younger (Open; Wherever)

[ There's a jellyfish holding your hand! Where did he come from, he wasn't there a second ago— ]

If there are memories so bad that they can send you into miserable states just from being slightly reminded from them, do you think there are memories so good that they can do the opposite…?

On Terra, Rhodes' is a company that takes in, treats, and protects the rights of the Infected people of our world. We're trying to get to a world were Infected people aren't just exiled, or worse, executed... Unfortunately, that's the current state of my world now.

And Gnosis is not ugly. I think he's quite handsome for an old guy!

[ Suddenly she comes out of his shadows a little head pops out and she says out from behind him. Well, say it's nighttime because this is fucking hilarious, and any shadows within the moonlight become a part of her space in some way. Anyway, hopefully, he isn't in the middle of changing or some weird ass shit - ] Yes I am talking about you, bitch.

[ Then the head disappears immediately. ]

Oh, um. So, on Terra, there's an ore called Originium. It's an extremely potent power source for practically everything on Terra. People can use it for special abilities, too, called "Arts". My coworkers both have Arts units, for example. [ Irene's levitation rapier. Gnosis' freezing cane. God, he has a cane, he really is old- ] However, Originium tries to assimilate with people, and eventually, without treatment, will turn them to solid stone.

That's the short version of it, anyway. There's more, but I'm really no specialist on the matter. Depending on where you're from, people either kill Infected, exile them from the country, or are allowed to live there, but treated as "lesser" than everyone else. It's kind of... awful. It's why I want to help people like that.

Yeah back when I was in the forest with him and he was talking to the voices, he said something about not getting along with other people. Mortal kinds are people who are desperate for companionship - one way or another. The lack of others understanding him, or the inability of him to be understood obviously, makes him desperate.

You don't need to be upset on my behalf, if someone doesn't like me that's their problem. I don't care, I don't exist to make myself a certain way for others. [ Afterall!! She exists only for Hakuno and like, everything else is extra. ] Mizuki, [ She looks at him, like he doesn't get it. ] people like us will never get along with others. It's not worth trying to, especially with Mortals who cant even get their shit straight.

[ BB might pull people into her pocket dimension to enact out an otome for herself, but the visual novel-style prompts are sort of always what are going through Mizuki's head. Not literally, of course, but he never really thinks there's more to say outside of the options he has. He's prone to pick the infamous Telltale option "..." whenever he didn't have a prerendered option he wanted to pick.

It's, perhaps, the biggest reason he always feels like he's on the other side of a window, looking at other people. Disconnected, in a way he that makes him feel incredibly lonely despite being with friends.

Mizuki's form glitches momentarily, a product of the corruption of his camouflage, but the static and poorly rendered artifacts that fill the air is always a little off-putting for him. He doesn't mean to, it just sort of... happens. ]

I know that. But they have such wonderful, beautiful stories to share with the world, and that's what's worth preserving. Even if I'll never be like them, or even liked by them, protecting those who have so much beauty to share with the world, and so much goodness to sow, then that'll always be worth trying.

They shouldn't fear me.
