Netbook | Some Minor Concerns
Hi! I'm Steph. The whole magic notebook thing is really cute. :)
I'm fresh off the boat, had to get around some super creepy goop to get here, saw several people with animal parts. No offense to said people, but that's a little unusual where I come from.
I figure I've been kidnapped, drugged, or both. I don't really like any of those options, so if there's a 4th, less sucky possibility I'd love to hear about it!
Also: the goop was really gross and creeped me out a lot, what's up with that?
Thanks!

You don't go to a lot of college parties, do you?

College is the highest level of school where I'm from. Ages 19-ish and up.
The parties are kinda famous for people making bad decisions. 21 is the age when you can start drinking, so sometimes people will sneak it in to the parties that aren't supposed to have alcohol. Sometimes people will sneak it into the punch without anyone knowing.

I see. I didn't take scholars to be the type to do things like that...
[ The again, Mid is only a slight bit younger, and while she doesn't seem the type to slip someone alcohol unknowingly, there are other, more devious things. Like delegating you as her assistant, or worse, her test subject.
He's not sure which is worse. ]
I suppose young adults are more likely to make unwise decisions... But decisions that draw others in against their will are very irresponsible. Particularly for scholars.

What are your studies?

I haven't decided yet, actually. There are a bunch of classes that everybody is required to take, so I'm doing those for now.

Well, it is good to have a solid foundation. My tutors were much of the same mind. You cannot learn more advanced subjects if you do not know the basics. I'm sure that you will find your way.

I think I better work on getting back home before I focus on choosing a major, though.

Well, I'm certain there must be something here for you... I've only been here a month, and part of that month was bitterly cold, so it was difficult to get out and do much. My brother practices fighting with his sword, though, if that is something that interests you?

I'll find something to work on, I'm sure. To start I should probably get to know everybody, right? It's not that big a town.

That would be a great place to start, yes, and a fairly easy task to accomplish. Everyone that I've met here has been very kind and willing to talk to newcomers.
Oh, and if you require healing, I help out at the clinic. Please don't hesitate to stop by and say hello.

I'll make sure to look for you when I check it out. Thanks for all your help.
