You Guys Had A Rough Month(s), Time To Drink
Who: Anyone and everyone.
What: It’s a bar log, throw your characters on here.
When: After the Arbor has gone away but before the snakes come to play.
Where: The Watchtower Bar
Warnings: Alcohol, per usual.
Well, it’s been a long few months. A lot of you have died. Some of you probably repeatedly. But there’s good news to be had. The bar is still open, and between Luca and his spirit companion, there’s plenty of hands to pass everything around. In fact, Luca actually seems to be encouraging it. Anyone found to be in a state of melancholy is encouraged to stop by.
It isn’t just alcohol, mind you. Anyone in need of a hot meal will find one waiting for them on the hearth. Rather than stew, he’s serving something else this month. And of course, there is the usual assortment of cheeses to go around.
He’s also set up something special. All of the tables are more pushed to the side than usual, leaving a fair bit of room at the center of the room. Set up nearby are the records he’d received for the holiday, playing some more lively tunes. Need a dance? You’ll have one. Just mind the hearth, he can’t exactly move that.
Luca, of course, will put it best. “Come and revel. The months have been long and cold, and we know not what tomorrow brings.”

[he gives a small self defeating laugh at that. Wow, how pathetic?]
I do know, though. I meant when I said I trust you. You're a good guy.
no subject
I'm... here... to help you figure that out, if you want.
[ Awkward cause it's not a flirt. ]
no subject
You might not like what's actually there, you know.
no subject
[ And Will himself said he was unsure so. ]
no subject
Fair 'nuff. Okay, here's one for free then. Whippoorwill isn' my birthname.
no subject
Moniker?
no subject
Don' know the original one. Jay gave me this one when he took me in... birds are a Thing with his family so I guess he thought it would make me feel... I dunno. Like I belonged there? He was a kid, can' judge him for it too much.
no subject
I don't. He loved you, and to him, you were his brother.
[ Why else name him a part of the family. ]
no subject
Yeah. I'll never get why he did it. If I had to guess I think he was lonely. His ma was never around and she was... a real piece of work, that one. But still, it takes some kinda crazy love to do that and keep it up for over twenty years, doesn' it?
no subject
[ It's one he recognizes well. In turn he offers:]
Clive is, sadly, my real name, but the rest of the world mostly knows me as Cid the Outlaw.
no subject
[That makes him chuckle]
I can' picture you as a Cid. Maybe a dashing outlaw, but not Cid.
no subject
Probably because it's the name of the man who came before me. I carry on his Legacy, the detestable wretch that he was.
[ That last part is obviously a joke, as Clives voice is just as fond as when Will was speaking of his brother. ]

no subject
And a good man.
no subject
[Since Clive is also a very good man]
no subject
[ Riposte, turn. ]
Just as your fulfilling your brothers name.
[ You're worth it, Will. ]
no subject
Not gonna let me get away, eh?
[he sips his water, tail thumping against the legs of the chair. Between lash and wag]
I... hope so as well. I know I bring him a lot of frustration and worry. But there is no one I love more.
no subject
Don't we always? It's part of being a brother. I know he loves you just as much.
no subject
Sorry, I'm not meanin' to just chatter at you.
no subject
[ You, behind the flirty playful always cheery facade. ]
no subject
Hmm... I do too. Learning more about you, I mean.
no subject
Sounds like it's something we should both do more of.
no subject
[And here Will is, for once lost for words, just slightly hiding his mouth with his hand, eyes bright]
no subject
Finish your food, Will.
no subject
[He starts tearing into the soup, filling the warm food settle his belly a bit after all the booze]
Did you grab anything for you? I'm sure Luca would make you something special, heh.
