You Guys Had A Rough Month(s), Time To Drink
Who: Anyone and everyone.
What: It’s a bar log, throw your characters on here.
When: After the Arbor has gone away but before the snakes come to play.
Where: The Watchtower Bar
Warnings: Alcohol, per usual.
Well, it’s been a long few months. A lot of you have died. Some of you probably repeatedly. But there’s good news to be had. The bar is still open, and between Luca and his spirit companion, there’s plenty of hands to pass everything around. In fact, Luca actually seems to be encouraging it. Anyone found to be in a state of melancholy is encouraged to stop by.
It isn’t just alcohol, mind you. Anyone in need of a hot meal will find one waiting for them on the hearth. Rather than stew, he’s serving something else this month. And of course, there is the usual assortment of cheeses to go around.
He’s also set up something special. All of the tables are more pushed to the side than usual, leaving a fair bit of room at the center of the room. Set up nearby are the records he’d received for the holiday, playing some more lively tunes. Need a dance? You’ll have one. Just mind the hearth, he can’t exactly move that.
Luca, of course, will put it best. “Come and revel. The months have been long and cold, and we know not what tomorrow brings.”

[ It's taken him this long to forgive himself for his own actions, and to accept things... he hopes she does too.
He truly thinks this separation is meant for her, more than him. ]

... I haven't yet earned it. Someday, maybe.

sorry this is legit the tag
crying
You have long since earned it, I wish you would let yourself see that.
shes stupid, your honor
For every attempt to right a wrong, it feels like I just make more mistakes. And Dark Enchantress Cookie- she may be the biggest one of all. How can I say I've earned any such thing?

If you did these things with malicious intent, then I would say you are allowed to hate yourself. But you did not. And you have admitted your mistakes. Why do you insist on continuing to hurt yourself in turn? What will you gain from it?

( her grip on her staff tightens, uncomfortable- but bachalomoth still haunts her dreams, even now. )

[ He sighs gently, fingers twisting in against each other, but she has to hear it. ]
Do you think our old friends, our comrades, so cruel that they would want you to continue to be in misery? That they would not see all that you strove for, and understand? If you do, why did you fight so hard to love them? To free them? To see their lives uplifted and valued and cherished? You say they haven't forgiven you, but I think they have.

she wants to keep protesting, to keep throwing herself against the coals, because isn't this what she deserves?
but... )
... I'm tired. Of this pain. But I don't know how to let go.

[ He holds out his hands to her, palms up, the glove on his left bright under the light of the sky. ]
You are forgiven. You have been forgiven. Step forward again, start moving along your path.

( ... she takes one hand, but the other moves to clutch at his chest as she just... leans against him. she feels so small and frail these days. moreso than when she was a child, even. )
... Will you be there? No matter what?
no subject
No matter what, I will. Whatever becomes of us as we are will never change the fact that I have been and will always be by your side, my heart. You cannot be rid of me.

( her grip tightens, inhaling his scent softly. )
I'll try. I promise.

[ He squeezes her softly, resting his head against hers to just stand with her like this for a moment. ]
no subject
( she does. oh so much, she does. the idea of this split being permanent makes her want to cry. )
no subject
[ He kisses the side of her head and squeezes again. ]
