December FamMeet
Who: The Grove
What: Town Hall
When: Mid-Late December
Where: Inn Lobby
Warnings: Child death mentions, torture, body horror all probably will be brought up.
[ In the morning, Irene will trek around the Grove to knock on doors and let everyone know she's setting up a information sharing meeting in the Inn's lobby. She figures there would be best, considering the new fireplace (thread pending on my behalf) set up and the fact it's about as safe as they're going to get.
Irene also lets everyone know that any fights and any blatant drama starters will be met with punishment. She doesn't elaborate on this further. Zahliya is invited. Irene tells Moder if she wants to sit by the door to listen, she can. She does not invite the merchant siblings, however - though she'll make no objections if someone else does.
She seems to be writing things down in their shared journals this meeting so people can reference this later. ]

Vyseheim? In Leithanian, correct?
[Bitch you cannot fight a businessman in matters of knowing the world a little too much also Czerny has definitely yelled at him before these are just facts, I don't know how it would've happened but it would have.]

( a liberi! finally, someone normal- )
Yes, that's correct.

I've never been to Leithanian in any official capacity, though I know a bit of the language. Two of Rhodes Island's Operators mentioned the area when they were first recruited, though I don't speak to either of them at-length, and we are very rarely deployed on operations together. Regardless, it's nice to meet you.
no subject
( two operators, hm?
...
it's probably just a coincidence. )
That's... my grandfather was getting treatment. So, even if your actual work is different... thank you. For being there.

[That's not weird. Lots of people who don't become Operators wind up getting treatment. It only makes sense.
Vyseheim... Vyseheim. Hm.]
Forgive me for prodding, but you wouldn't happen to know a Caprinae by the name of Ebenholz, and an Elafia named Czerny, would you? I believe they came from Vyseheim as well.
no subject
( given how he stiffens immediately, eyes wide? nahhhhhhhhh. )
I- yes... how did you know?
no subject
["You have the same horns as Ebenholz I ain't sayin that tho".]
To my knowledge, they are the most recent Operators who spoke of Vyseheim. I've heard that the area is fairly small and insular, so it would simply make sense if the three of you knew each other in some capacity. That young Caprinae isn't in the habit of speaking with others overmuch, but the other is fond of his own voice, I think.
[A bit too fond of it, Gnosis can hear Czerny yelling at someone to shut up from 6 wings down the landship.]

but they're alive.
they're alive. )
They're both worth getting to know. Proud but... I always thought they were both full of love.
If you do manage to go back... do not tell them you met me here. Please.

[ THERE IS ONLY MAYBE LIKE a few MILLION PEOPLE ON HER CONTINENT LIKE WHAT IS A BILLION? CAN YOU EAT iT? ]
no subject
One million.
[Then, he writes underneath that, "1,000,000,000".]
One billion. Mathematically, there are one thousand millions in one billion.

[ She looks downwards, smiling faintly... ]
That is... So wonderful.
